Reaction to MSGMy daughter gets severe headaches when MSG has been ingested. Also, the muscles in the shoulders and neck area become very tight and sore/achy. Generally, the headache is at the back of the head and often on the left side of the head around the temple and eye area. Other symptoms (depending on the amount consumed) can be light sensitivity, nausea, movement sensitivity, and even vomiting although not always.
Can anyone offer some suggestions? We have been to the doctor and the chiropractor and nothing has helped short of avoiding MSG which is not always easy unless you cook every thing yourself and even then sometimes it creeps in through hidden sources.
