which miasms may be involved with crohn's?

someone with crohn's disease, intrested in homeopathic treatment has asked me about which miasms may be involved with crohn's disease. I looked around the internet and didn't find any immediate answers? can anyone shed some light on which miasms might be involved with crohn's disease?

thanks,
John

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Crohns would likely be considered syphillitic as it is an inflammatory ulcerative disease, thus destructive.

thank you Sycotic. I passed it on, hope it helps.

I would have to agree there is a Syphilitic influence involved, but I would consider this to be more Tubercular, considering the tendency toward joint complications and the formation of abcesses.

I have never actually treated this disease, but from looking at the symptoms Tuberculosis would be my first diagnosis, although of course this could also vary from case to case as some diseases do.

I hope this helps.

JCS-

Thanks for the information... I passed it one with a suggestion that more specific questions be posted as appropriate.

I have a question for you if you don't mind. I am getting treatment from a classical homeopath for my lifelong atopic dermatitis/eczema... have been taking lycopodium, first 30c, this week he upped me to 200c (only two doses).

He thinks the tubercular miasm is at the forefront for me, but I suspect that all or most of them may be present.

the 30c worked very very well, but, recently I started slipping back, and so he moved me to 200c to try.

I have asked him about the nosodes, tuberculinium, psorinam and carsinocin... all seem to be relevant to me to an extent. what I want to understand is... when would it be appropriate to try a nosode vs just staying with my constitutional remedy? the lycodium is still very powerful me, at least in the short term. I can feel it instantly, and my skin begins to heal almost the day I take it... today I even feel funny in my liver area, and had periods of great vision... I want this to last, but with the 30c potency, it didn't... what do I need to do to hold the improvements that lycopodium brings me? will it take a nosode?

thanks for your thoughts.

Hello John.

A 30c is a pretty low potency when using a deep acting remedy such as Lycopodium, and this alone could be the reason for it's effects being so short lived. You may therefore find over time that the remedy alone is all that is needed for you, and that it is just a question of reaching the right potency level to cure the case. On the other hand this may not be the case, and a nosode may need to be apllied, as you suggest, but this is actually pretty rare. More often than not once a remedy has reached the end of it's usefulness, the picture will change, and another is then selected. Either way, the remedy should not be changed while it is still providing benefit. Be patient, this is the best thing you can do.
It should also be born in mind that the nosodes are used far too often in clinical practice, usually by practioners who think they have cured a case from the application of just one beneficial remedy, and then apply the nosodes alongside, thinking this will bring about full cure, most of the time when they are not even indicated.

Thanks JCS, I will be let time be the guide. the 30c brought me a long way from where I was several months ago, so, I have high hopes that I can regain full health. after so many years of struggling, it will be a blessing indeed.

One last question if i may, will drinking a few beers or glasses of wine antidote my treatment? I can give it up if need be, but, once or twice a week, its nice to relax with a drink. (I gave up coffee a long time ago).
thanks,
John

Hi Albert.

The occassional ingestion of wine will not ordinarily effect treatment unless the patient is very sensitive. Beer though, should be avoided, as this is made from a medicinal herb, hops, and continual use can indeed intefere with remedy reaction, I have seen this many times.

Good luck with your treatment :)
