Really bad sore throat
I have been sick for 9 days now. It started with a low fever, (about 100) and then a few hours later I had teeth chattering chills that lasted 4 hours. The fever came back later that same day but went away with Tylenol.I also had a stuffy nose and sore throat. The congestion was all high up, around my eyes and almost nothing comes out when I blow my nose. (what does come out is clear)
The sore throat has gotten progressivly worse. Around day 5 it became too painful to eat anything but soft foods like pudding and jello. The glands around my throat are swollen and very tender. On day 6 I started to get pain in my ears when I swallow. On day 7 I noticed some white/grey patches on the back of my throat.
I have had slight headaches bt they have gone away with the Tylenol/Ibuprofen I have been taking. I also have been rinsing with warm salt water and using a warm mist humidifier.
I have tried to think of everything you may need to know to recommend treatment. I cannot go to a Dr. because I am bedridden from a rupturred disk and I have no insurance. Any natural remedy suggestions will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Deb

what is the nature of the cough, loose, dry or tough.
does it aggravate in cold air or warm air.
do you have normal thirst.
has it affected your chest and do u have any congestion in the chest.
can you talk properly or do you get wheezing during talking.

There is no color to my nasal discharge. It is worse in the morning. I have no cough, or any chest congestion. I am always thirsty but this is mainly due to the fact that it hurts to swallow anything so I have difficulty drinking the amount I should.
I do have some wheezing that is affected by cold/warm air which is normal for my mild asthma which is always aggravated when I get sick.
