Homeopathy Medicine Expiry
Hi All Good People there,I have heard that homeopathy tincture has got life of many-many years. if 100% alcohol is used then life could extend over 100yrs as well.
But my query here is for mother tinctures (Q potency). I think there is no alcohol in those they are just pure extracts then what is the expiry of those mother tinctures?
Thanks in advance. :)

Hi Daisy,
Bottle doesn't say anything. For eg: CalendulaQ, HypericumQ, and HydrastisQ. Do these expiry?

Dear Daas13, dear Daysy43:
In my opinion, if you have an homeopathic remedy, you have a remedy diluted in alcohol.
If your mother tincture is homeopathic, then you have a mother tincture in alcohol. But if your mother tincture come from an herbal company, then probably, the remedy may be not in alcohol, but in glicerine, or another liquid as vehicle.
I repeat, If you have an homeopathic remedy, it is in alcohol dilution.
Best regards
Andrés

Sorry, I haven't answered the question.
If it is an homeopathic mother tincture, it has a long duration, but country laws allow its conservation during a determinate time.
If it isn't an homeopathic dilution, usually its duration is no more two years in good conditions.

Homeopathic medicines do get spoiled if the alcohol used is not ultra pure.
In case there is high moisture content in the alcohol, the pellets become soggy and in worst cases like a paste too.
Don't use the medicine if it is looking even slightly different, when compared to the condition it was when you bought it.
This applies to mother tinctures too.

Dear Murthy:
Only more information. In Spain there is no labs that can sell mother tinctures as homeopathic remedies.
Herbal companies can sell extracts and oil and tinctures, but no as homeopathic remedies.
