Toxoplasmosis in Newborns - Opinions on Drug Treatment Welcomed!!I have recently had our 3rd child who was born at 33 weeks with Congenital Toxoplasmosis. Since then he has started down the road of treatment on 2 drugs - Pryrimethamine and Sulfadiazine of which he is scheduled to take for 1 year. My husband and I are in a delima about whether or not to continue with these harse drugs and would love feedback or opinions on he situation. He has currently been on the meds for 3 months, has a VP Shunt due to Hydrocephalus, and is severely vision impaired.
Look forward to hearing from you!!
