The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Short sight and Summary

My eyes seem to struggle these days as I am in my 40s.

I think this could point to Lycopodium but are there other remedies for helping the flexibility of the eyes and the mind.

Think physostigma can do.

AND am I missing the point. For my forst post I got some really good help but nothing since.

Really if I could solve these problems I'd be well on my way.

Sweating like a pig from slight, but concentrated physical, exertion.

Exertion in the sun leads to nasty sick headaches. I think blue eyes are part of this. Stiff neck can be part of this.

Can't sit still. Seem to have some sort of pelvic imbalance. Don't know what brings it on.

I'd appreciate your help. I live in France and can buy the remedies for 20 percent of the cost in UK.

Should I be buying thru this site to get FREE advice?

Sorry if I missed that link.

OK will do. It will take a few hours.

I'll add at this stage that I am abit compulsive by nature as if it is the only way to deal with a world that is too complicated for my experience.

When this approach fails I tend to fall into a bit of a depressed stupour

Andres

OK I can only call as I see it though I do know a little about Homeopathy.

I tell you honestly and fully but perhaps a bit extremely.

Male, 44, single

1. 2.If I exert myself I tend to get problems. Exertion can be physical or mental.

Mentally it is as if my head locks up. Eye strain and stiff neck and headaches.

Physically I sweat like I’m in the shower from a small amount of applied effort. Leads to a lot of fluid loss.

Leads to a nasty headache that is only usually cured by sleeping with tablets. Eating can help this but often I don’t have the patience nor strength to sit thru the pain. Try to block it out.

I feel that a lot is to do with my blue eyes and fair/ reddish/ pale complexion. It can’t handle the sun.

I get a thumping headache.

Often my head over runs with thinking. I think I learned to block this out. This is where the compulsion came in.

Breathe tends to be held when concentrating on apply myself.

Have this problem with needing to move my legs. Can’t sit still but instead cross legs from one side to the other.

Have a bad kink in my lumber region that sometimes causes very bad pain.

Definitely suffer from stiff necks. Running up to the Atlas and further.

Eyesight getting too short.

Often suffer from acid/ heart burn at night but that can be cured with an apple.

In frequently I suffer from Migraines. These are caused by worry. The centre part of my vision goes void. Only for a little while.

3; I am agitated/ frustrated that I can not get on top of my health.

I want to ignore them, block them out but that doesn’t help.

4. I think this idea of congested head is spot on. Stooping is not nice.

5. Although I didn’t realise it I have had this problem with exertion, heat, sweating and headaches since I was 15.

Compulsion started when I was10 or younger. I was put in a position where I had to behave well and didn’t really know what that meant.

(6. Being hungry does not help) Guilt is a driver. Not to be responsible for something bad happening.

7. 9.Cold wetter weather is probably the best for me. I don’t like it.

I like warming but not strong bright sun.

Stuff / hot rooms with no air can’t be stood.

10. I am changeable. I am easily hurt. I am sensitive. But this can be hidden.

I’d like to be lazy but I never had the chance.

Thunder storms scare me.

True consolation is welcome but not false. But I like to think I can tough things out. This is not true.

I am very, very effected by white energy, and recently Fluorescing lights have become impossible for me to stay under. TVs are the same.

Something happens to my brain. Some sort of frequency switch.

I can’t stand white noise. Crowded places. Bustle.

Fumes will give me a headache.

I can’t stand these things. I’ve tried but I can’t.

As I said I can’t sit still . I do talk to myself a lot. I am on my own a lot. I always have been. Since being a young boy. Left to achieve goals I didn’t really understand but I learnt to blank out those thoughts and feeling.

I feel let down by friends and family. My family lack empathy. They deny things. Subjects are left undiscussed.

11. I fear being scolded (for taking things into my own hands). I don’t like upsets.

I fear being ignored. This can lead to inappropriate attention seeking. If I was deliberately shunned / avoided by society I would certainly die. It would be the most awful thing. I don’t really understand the idea of a community.

I do dream but it changes.

12. It’s hard to answer because I have tried to control my eating.

When stressed I might eat too much bread, cheese, coffee (decafe now), alcohol.

I like milk but it doesn’t like me. Same with Onions.

Thirst changes. I think I am insensitive to my thirst but I do drink a lot of water each day. Sometimes too fast.

When I am active I have a good appetite and thirst. Sometimes I forget to eat and drink properly. It seems to be constant the need to intake.

Eating in the morning is not agreeable.

I used to suffer that sort of drop of mood when I got tired and hungry. A bit Sulphur type.

Sweat is one the head, neck and trunk.

Bowel is 2 or 3 times a day and soft or too loose.

Probably I don’t sleep too well. It’s a yes or no thing. Once I have got to sleep I sleep all night and need 10 or more hours. Early morning is a horror.

I’d say I sleep on my tummy most. Recently on one side or other. If that fails on my back. I tend to turn every 5 minutes. My legs move up and own.

It is something in the pelvis.

19. One way or other I am able to find sexual satisfaction. But I am tense and very needing in this area.

Again I think it is to do with the pelvis.

20. I feel my isotonic balance is very delicate. Possible I had lower blood pressure and when I went to exert myself this led to an expulsion of fluids to raise the pressure.

I’m certainly not a very fluid person in terms of being able to adapt to new situations. I am not able to adapt. I have a very rigid idea of what a situation will be like because I am unable to adapt to unexpected situations.

This is very disabling.

I need to predict how something will be so that I can prepare myself for it. I then need to control things so that image of reality is maintained so that I don’t have to deal with the unexpected.

I think this comes from an induced 9am to 5pm birth when I was suddenly brought into the world so that a hospital timetable could be kept to.

My mother had not gone into labour nor was I showing any signs of distress.

I think it destroyed my ability to react normally to situations.

22. Alcohol problems, stroke, eye sight degeneration, migraines.

21. No I felt that these things could not be treated. I used to drink lots of fluids to hope that I would not get a headache.

23. Now I am over weight. I am a big stock man.

25. Mental tension has led to problems but really I think it is all the same thing.

Lack of parental care, over achievement through fear of showing up the family and lack of grasp of reality in terms of the human condition.

Well I’ve told you everything I can think of.

I’d be pleased if I could get on top of the headaches and the sweating. I am sure it is due to tension, tension from needing to do well so that I can’t be critised.

Further I am insensitive to my own needs. I don’t hear my body talking to me, or it is poor at getting the information to me.

Sensitivity is bottom of the list in my family.

Recently I discovered that my mum was encouraged/ forced to abort her first child to my father for social convenience reasons. I think this was a terrible shock for her.

Very many thanks. It has been therapeutic just to get it off my chest.

Hamish.

Dear Hamish:
Thank you for your trust.
I propose this treatment:
Take ARSENICUM ALBUM 15CH, three pellets, twice (in the awake time and in the bed time) a day for three days. After three days, reduce to a only one dosis (better in the awake time).
Report after a week.
Best wishes

Dear Andres,

I will do so.

Thank you for your time.

You need a medal for all the analysis.

What makes you think it is Arsenicum? I'm keen to learn.

Could you explain the 'triuphate (spelling?)'

Sulphur - Lycopodium - Calc Carb ?

They work in a three I understand but how and why?

Please.

Thanks.

Hamish

PS

I've got Arsencium 1M and 200C.

What's the logic that brings you to a 15C.

Just interested to know.

I'm a head person.

Pluto rules and influences my mind.

Things are hard to shift.

Just interested in how potencies are determined.

:))))

Dear HamishC:
Too many questions, and not too much time nor space.
First one, in Spain we say: 'don't sell the lion's head, until you hunt it'. Because of this, don't give me a medal until you feel very much better.:)
Second one, I selected Arsenicum Album because there are a lot of remedies for 'abundant transpiration', but Ars. is the best when this sweat comes from mental exertion or physic exertion.
If you have digestive disorders, but you can overcome them, Ars. and Lycopodium are very close.
But if you are restless and another psichic characteristic you tols us, then I prefer Arsenicum Album.
I use to prescribe in these cases a low potency (15CH) because we can observe the effects and don't provocate a great aggravation if we are wrong. If you are not in a urgence, I like to use not very high potencies, because we can act slowly but sure.
If you are in an urgence, I'll use high potencies, to provocate a strong reaction and to activate your vital force as soon as possible.
The Triad of SULFUR-LYCOPODIUM -CALCAREA CARBONICA, is very useful because these three remedies are very similar in a lot of symptoms, although they have a little differences. When we use in a triad, we can treat a wide grade of the symptoms from different perspectives, pushing the vital force to react.
If you have got Ars. Album 1M and 200C, you have to take in another way.
Please, take a glass with water. Put three pellets of Ars. Alb 200C inside. Stir it up very well. And take one coffee spoon of the remedy once a day during a week.
Report after.
If the remedy is right you feel better soon and don't have bad reactions; If the remedy is wrong, then you can stop easily and stop too the annoyed effects.
In my opinion in this moment you mustn't use Ars. Alb 1M.
In France is used to prescribe low dilutions, from 4CH to 200CH, but the more frequent potency is between 7 CH and 30CH. It's very safe and very easy to control.
French homeopath are cartesian and prefer the real science than pschiatry.(That's not a critic, of course. It a very good characteristic).
Best regards
Andrés
