This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is a phenomena that happens with acute stress on occasion. No one knows what the real cause is. (outside of stress and grief). Try some LYCOPODIUM. One dose each night for 3 days and once every 3 days for awhile. If anything works, it will take awhile.

IGNATIA is the grief remedy. It will sooth and help you sleep. It will not stop the grief, just help you through it. You must grieve to stay healthy. Take once or twice daily as needed. Sabra

Are you suggesting lycopodium and ignatia on the same day?

Lyc for 3 days and every third to try. Ignatia as needed. If on same day, not at same time. Never had a problem in 40 years and my two homeopathic teachers did it in the 60's. As one reads my posts, you will find I am not hampered by "rules." Sabra

The concepts behind rules are important rather than the rules themselves.

Similar remedy, single remedy, minimum dose is proper homeopathy.

The best cures are made when people stuck to the principles of homeopathy.Vithoulkus handled more than 60000 cases, and is the most succseeful practitioner.

He swears by the classical method of homeopathy.

How do we know,we are not doing harm to the patient,by deviating from the "rules"?

What is the harm in sticking to the rules. We may reach the destination faster,by tredding along the 'proven path' rather than every body inventing their own rules.
