ill affects of alcohol

Thank you Andres for you're advice.

I notice that a moderate amount of alcohol can adversly affect my mental state.

2 or 3 average sized glasses of Wine/ Beer/ Whisky/ Gin in an evening can cause this sort of reaction.

I appreciate that abstinance is one solution but I am mentally/ intellectually tense and a glass of alcohol helps of an evening.

Would you be kind enough to point me in the direction of which remedies might be good for this 'condition'.

I'm researching this;

Thanks,

Hamish

My Very Dear Andres,

I while back I completed the questionaire.

I hope you will understand that I am trying to understand myself as well as find the right remedy(s). I'm close to the solution.

A few weeks back you advised Arsenicum. I have got that remedy now.

I want to tell you some stuff.

2 years ago I started suffering he occasional episode. They were very unpleasant because really I didn’t know what was happening. You could say they were a 'cronic' loss of confidence. In fact acute would be the correct term. It was desperate. I'd just be completely lost/ dazed and pretty frightened, totally unable to construct my mind.

2 different sorts of stimuli brought this on. Firstly if somebody was insensitive/ uncaring towards me and secondly when I was/ am subjected to too much white noise/ energy.

Now I was lucky to see 2 Homeopathic Doctors. One went down a Staph, Nat Mur, Anacardium route and the other a Nat Sulp, Arsenic, Neon one.

Recently I've got to Gelesium and Hep Sulp. One or both of these really seemed to help. I think in the end the Gelesium will be a major player. I think a migraine-ous state derived from fear is much to cause my problems. I feel sure of this.

However I suffered another on of these episodes recently and it points me to Staph again. It was very strange.

I'm living abroad just now and I went into the local town for a coffee. Usually it is nearly only me and the locals. On the way I nearly turned back because I had a feeling all was not well. In fact as I got into the town it was packed. I was a bit annoyed by this. So I sat in the car for 10 mins.

I then went and had a coffee. It was fine but the Waiters upset me because he / she were openly false towards me. You can hear it in the tone of the voice.

Further a group of attractive women came and sat on a table near me and it was the first time that I've been interested in such for a good while. They just seemed to be having such a good time, laughing. What seemed to upset me first was that I couldn't make out what they were saying. I couldn't even make out which language they were speaking. This really distressed me. I could see the mouth opening and closing but no idea what they were saying. I think this points to a tired mental facility.

It brought about a strange reaction in me. I was so glad to see such happy people, but also angry that I was excluded from them. I'd love to make some (new) friends just now. Also perhaps I felt a bit too old / fat to befriend them.

Anyway clearly my anger escaped and hit my belief systems which sent it back with it's tail between it's legs. Rebuked. Then 'the fear' came over me.

That's the part I don't get. Anger comes out. No problem but then I get some sort of strange/ unhelpfull 'mental' reaction to it.

So my anger is getting out (good) Staph but my head/ heart must be full of stupid taboo beliefs/ feelings. I had a strange emotionally inhibited chidhood. Maybe a bit like we in Britain understand the fears put into Catholic children. Too Big fears to handle.

What would you recommend for the latter?

That's an easy one Amigo.

PS I'd just add that there is nothing that UPSETS me EMOTIONALLY more than being Excluded from a something, which I see as a Great Injustice, which I equally hate and find.

Bingo one of my first memories as a small child were screaming as I was 'locked' in my room/ sent bed while my family laughed and joked down stairs.

Someone would come up and castise me for screeming. For being so selfish as to hav FEELINGS.

You're a good Doctor becasue your little time and good skills have helped me help myself.

Dear Hamish:
Thank you for your trust again.
I post the questionnaire because I didn't remember your case. It's no necessary if the symptoms haven't changed.
Please, I need to know how did you react with Arsenicum Album? Which symptoms did change and which no?
What was your feeling?
If you answer to this question, I'll try to adjust or change the remedy, but I can't change the remedy every chance you write ;)
Warmest regards, amigo
Andrés
