Terrible pain in left jaw

I have pain in my left jaw for the last 8 months. I have seen several dentists, Neurologist, Physician etc. Neurologist said it is Trigeminal Neurolgia (TN). I took Nerontin for some 30 days without any effect. I am living with terrible pain for the last 10 months. I dont know what it is. Dentists say there is no problem with teeth. I have tried ARNICA 200C. There is no improvement. Please help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you feel pain when moving the jaw and pressing it then please take Rhus tox-200 morning and afternoon one dose (3 drops per dose) and Mag.Phos-200 (three drops) at night for 2/3 days and note changes & report. However, it is necessary to reach the route cause.

Thanks for the response. I provide the following information:

Pain is in the lower jaw but goes upto ear and then sometimes upto head. When I press my ear I can feel the pain. Brain MRI was also done. But everything is OK there. There was something called NCV (some current applied to various parts on face see the reaction) also done, results were OK

One day after having food I had taken Saunf. There was a small stone in that and I happened to bite it. Pain started after that.

One of the eight dentists that I tried said it is muscular pain. He advised hot/cold fermentation alternatively and some 10 days medicine (Chlorzoxazone, Diclofenac Potassium). Initially there was some releif but again the pain started. I repeated the medicine after a gap of 1 month. But there was no relief.

Pain remains throughout the day. While eating it is more. When I get up in the morning it is more. Evening also it is more. Cold condition makes it worse. Also I have found it to be increasing when I am worried about something.

Opening of jaw and pressing the jaw increases the pain. Side wise movement also increases the pain. Intake of cold water also increases the pain

For temporary relief you can try max.phos 6x, 4 tablets dissolved in warm water.

Take it 15 minutes apart to start with, and taper off gradually as the pain ceases.

For permanent relief a complete case is to be taken.

The specific medicine for Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) of the left side is:

Spigelia

which will cure you.

Terebinthina has been suggested as a first to clear your urinary system of toxins. After taking Terebinth for two days Spigelia will act faster to clear up TN.

Best wishes,

Just a quick note to tell you that you need to see an LVI Dentist to reposition your lower jaw with an orthotic.....what happens is your body will compensate for your bite being off and what ends up happening is the muscles and joints pay the price. Your teeth automatically want to go into the position where they FIT together but unfortunately that may not be where the muscles of the jaw and joint are happy. What the orthotic does is place your teeth in the correct position when you close to keep the muscles and joint stable and relaxed. Do you find you have headaches, neck pain, dizziness and or sleepless nights? Pain in the morning when you awake or late in the day? Clinching? It isn't a crap shoot there is science behind this and when you are referred to an LVI dentist they run scans with the Myotronics system to figure out (for you) where your muscles are happy and relaxed, takes a good 4 hour appt. but you WILL be relieved of your pain. Some poeple within hours of getting thier orthotic some take a few adjustments to get relief. amy whipple (dental assistant) Olympia, Wa.

Do you feel than this pain is not because of TN, but the cause is improper adjustment? Yes I do feel pain in the morning. It is very difficult to open the mouth. Pain increases towards the evening. But some of these symptoms are related to TN as well. What to do. I have already seen some 7 dentists.

If your neuro has said TN then it is TN.

I have already told you the med for that

Amy is talking about the de-generation of the jaw bone.....which is not your case ...!!

TN is not a dental problem. It is a nerve pain starting from the brain and going all the way into the fifth nerve.

Sometimes it reaches the fingers also.

All of you are suffering from TMJ including myslef. TMJ means Temporo Mandibular Joint disorder. Its only related to Lower Jaw, connected to ear, head, neck, shoulders, and face bones. I am suffering from TMJ myslef. I get terrible pain in ears and makes me hard to eat like Roti and Meat. ABC homeopathy says use ' Nux Moschata ' if u have ear pain associated with lower jaw movements, resting, biting, etc. When I searched in Homeopathic Book Nux Moschata does not mention anything related to ear pain associated with lower jaw movements and connections. It is majorly use for other symptoms. Does any has advice about TMJ remedy ? Its ok to use Nux Moschata ?

The pain has resurfaced after 6 years. Initially it was in left jaw. Now it has moved to left ear and goes up to left side of the head. I have seen ENT doctor who checked the ear and found no issue. The pain starts from ear and goes upto head. Sometimes there is shooting pain. Please help
