Cystic Acne/Bad Skin

I have been getting large cyst-like bumps under my skin on the lower cheeks for the last 6-9 months. They usually occur once monthly, don't seem to be at any particular time in my menstrual cycle and sometimes do surface, but oftentimes reamin under the skin. The bumps sometimes are painful when manipulated. They often end (after several weeks) in a red-blotchy mark that never permanently disappears.

Aside from the cysts, my skin is quite uneven & blotchy looking, not severe, but not consistent. I also have problems with blocked pores, as well as whiteheads around the nose and chin. These problems have been going on for years, both before & after childbearing.

I have noticed no other symptoms that come to mind, but I am having some difficulties staying asleep at night, due to the fact that my husband has begun snoring. Many nights I am forced to move to another room in order to get some uninterrupted sleep.

As far as food, I have a terrible sweet tooth, but it ahs been there my entire life. I ahven't been indulging any more in recent months.

I am a 37-year old woman and I am extremely self-concious about my skin, in general. I have never had clear skin and have never thought it was very attractive, although I didn't suffer from excessive acne, nor do I have scarring (aside from the blotchy marks here and there).
