The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Masturbation-nothing to worry about.

I hear many times and in many posts patients express their concern about masturbation.

It is very common, particularly among males, and though people may not agree openly, studies indicate that more than 80% of males do it on a regular basis.

It is a natural instinct,as you can see male childern playing with their penis. Why do childern also do it.Because they find it pleasurable.

Masturbation is to be considered as a symptom, only if the person is feeling shy, guilty and repentent about it,and having unnecessary fears.

Otherwise,it is not a symptom at all.

Many males masturbate,a few hours, before coition, with the belief that they can lost long,if they do so.Nothing to worry about this.

Masturbation is harmful, only,if it has become an obsession, and his thoughts are always centered on it.

Had nature not taught us about this convenience, there would have been many more rapes, and many many more unhappy wives.

I know, I am discussing a sensitive subject, but it is time,we discuss certain unnecessary fears openly.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
But there are ill-effects due to it.....and there are homeopathic medicines to combat the ill-effects.

-Early greying of hair
-Sunken and weak eyes
-Energy loss resulting in loss of concentration in mental and physical activites

...just to mention a few.

According to the Karma theory, indulging in sensual pleasures makes you more hungry for these pleasures. So I do not agree that the people indulging in masturbation are helping their wives and other women. Do you mean to say that rapists are not aware of this option of getting "the pleasure"?

I agree with Pankaj that masturbation has ill-effects. But then, are we saying that we should cure these ill-effects without bothering to remove the cause?

Observation of a mature woman with grown male children.

Obsession of any sort is harmful to a successful loving life within the human sphere of civilization. To be so self-envolved is not good for anyone, male or female. One could be close to being selfish. If one is more interested in masturbation than the spouse, something is very "not ok."

To be envolved with giving of self to others in a sincere and loving way will change one's life much to the better. If one has missed learning this, one has missed much. Anytime one is depressed or lonely, find another lonely person and be a true friend. (not sex)

Final remark: excessive masturbation can interfere with ability to impregnate. Same for excessive trying to impregnate.

Engage your heart instead of only the body and find a richer life. Sabra

I wonder about the life situation and mental health of the participants in the study. One should be asking who conducted it and what was their motive. A happy and healthy individual would have no need to masturbate. Itch could also be the reason male children 'play' with it.

OK ....

Go "beyond" the theory of karma .... where to?

By same logic.... Eat junk food -- children enjoy it -- more than 80% people do that. And then you can cure the effects produced thereof. And you are saving your wife and the rest of the world by getting rid of the garbage (just like a pig does).

If you can justify self-indulgence, the whole world is open to you .... Go pemper your senses!
