Need Help for Binge Drinking and Alcohol Cravings

Hello, I am new to homeopathy and this forum, and am posting a topic for advice on a remedy. I came across this forum in a search related to a book I have been reading called Moderate Drinking Revolution.

A bit about me, and my problem:

I am a 36 year-old woman, and am in good health. I am height/weight proportionate, and exercise 4xs a week. I do not have any known sensitivities to medicines or foods.

My problem is I am an alcohol abuser. I would not say an alcoholic, I guess depending on the definition you subscribe to. I have been binge drinking since college. I have always and currently still drink to get a buzz, or more often to get drunk. I often black out when I drink too much and do not remember what transpired, all the while functioning, so I am told by others. I have said and done things that are just shameful, and always feel guilty over my behavior afterwards. And the hangovers

Over the last two years, I have noticed that I have begun craving alcohol more often. I try to limit my drinking to 3 times per week as a form of control and rationalization, however all the while anticipating my drinking days. And when I do drink, I go overboard. Moderation is very hard, if not impossible for me. When I start, I just want more.

I am looking for a remedy to curb the alcohol cravings that I have. I would really like to stop drinking so often, and would like to be able drink in moderation when I do drink. The latter is probably a learned behavior, but I know there has got to be something to help with these cravings. I feel its time that I make a change.

Any known remedies or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have faith and try the following formula:

'Sulphuric acid mixed with three parts of alcohol, ten to fifteen drops three times daily for several weeks, has been successfully used to subdue the craving for liquor.'

'Homeopathic Sulphuric acid mother tincture is 50 percent alcohol and 50 % diluted Sulphuric acid...normally'

Thank you both for your input. I went to the homeopathic store to purchase sulphuric acid, and need some additional guidance.

There was 'sulphuric acid tincture Q', which is what I believe you were suggesting. 1 drop in a large glass of water, divided into 3, and drank 3 times a day for a week.

There was also a 'sulphuric acid liquid dilution' (says it includes alcohol in mixture). It is ranging from 3x to 10m to 200c. I am not sure if this is what I need, and if so, what potency.

Your expertise would be greatly appreciated, as I am anxious to start on the path to recovery.

Hello again. I attempted to purchase sulphuric acid tincture Q through this site and was informed by Boiron that it is not available. Below is their response:

Sulphuricum acidum is not available as a mother tincture, the nearest substitution would be 6x potency in the 1oz bottle for $14.65. Please let us know if this is acceptable to ship.'

Is S.A. in 6X going to accomplish what I need it to, reduce alcohol cravings (of the psychological nature)? Is there an alternative dosage in pellets or granules that will accomplish the same thing?

Will Nux Vomica also help me accomplish the same goal instead?

If not available then there is no choice buttry this remedy in 6X which is only available.

Take 4 pills three times a day.

I have been unable to find Sulphuric Acid Q for sale on any additional internet searches I've done.

There are many SA potencies available in pellets or liquid dilutions. 6X in either form is what I need to purchase, as the closest potency? Any other alternatives that might work better than 6X?

Hi Funone

If you can get the mother tincture that's well and good.(For instance if you have a relative coming from India you can get that through him/her.)

Otherwise if 6x is the lowest potency if you can keep hands upon get that in liquid dilution and follow the same procedure.
