Mild fever, Cough, Sore throat
Dr Mahfuz,Dr Sajjad, Gavinimurthy,Rishimba and Friends,I have had this chill/mild fever (37.5-38.1 C normal 36.2-36.6c)) since Friday 27th.I took aconinte6 and Belladona 6 and later Ars Album 6. I felt much better on Sat 28th but the sore throat was still there and turned into dry painfull cough yesterday 29th. Today cough is loose and less painfull ( every 30 min or so, less frequent).Chill mild fever up to 38.1C and feel weak on limbs.Eyeballs ache when looking left/right and up/down. Could not get good sleep.Woken with mild headache and chill.
On 24th a fun ride (cycle) ended up into a race in a heavy rain and my body and head were exposed to cold.I know I stressed myself on that day. Not sure if this was on eof the causes. Today the local homeopath gave me Nux 200 and Gelsemium 6.
I need your advise if there is something else I should try. I am 50 yr old male 70 kg very active. Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The first medicine you should try for consequences of getting wet is Rhustox.
It has the eye pain on movement, and painful cough.
Stop all other medication. Take rhustox 200c,every 2 hours till better. If the problem lingers on even after six doses, stop taking further doses and come back.
Stop taking all other medicines.

Having taken Rhus Tox 200 6x the fever is gone ( temp now more like normal 36.5-36.9C. The sore throat and cough are gone. I however feel a bit weak and have a running nose and sneezing each time I move from rooms or locations with different temperature and humidity. Getting dried up and dressed up quickly after shower ( hot) is key otherwise I would sneeze and have running nose. The country where I live is tropical moonsoon and the weather has been very wet during the last few days. is there anything else I need to do ? Thank you once again.

Hi Sajjad
Our posts crossed. He has taken too many medicines, prior to Rhustox.
I wanted the effects to wear off.
Rumex is a good prescription, but, I still prefer him to wait out for a day, and come back.

As long as there is progress and situation is improving, we will not think of another medicine.
Hopefully you will be o.k. without any further medicine.
