Mild Pilonidal cyst/sinus - can I get rid of it ?

I'm 22 female, i've had a pilonidal cyst for a few months. There's almost no swelling, but there's a small pit that drains a little bit every day. I don't have pain, but I do have just a little bit of discomofort when I sit in some chairs.
I was told that I shouldn't have it surgically removed until it gets bigger, but I was wondering if I can get rid of it through homeopathic treatment before it gets bigger.

Pl. go to ABC Archives...I have given lot of guidance on this to many patients and they have reported success.

There is a complete treatment process explained in some of the posts made by me in the past.
So also some other friends have contributed to it in a big way.

You can do away with surgery by using homeopathy.

Hi Rishimba,
Thanks so much for your advice.
I took one dose ( 5 pellets) of Silicea 200C every morning for 7 days...
15 days later and there have been some amazing results, i haven't had any pain, pus/blood draining for the last 10 days, also the swelling is gone. However, the small pit is still there, but it's totally dry.
Is this a temporary result in that case, or the pit will disappear too later?

Thank you sooo much, this has really improved my quality of life!

its good to know the results.

i believe its a long term improvement. however, if the symptoms return, you should go for SILICEA 1M a few doses at 3 to 4 days interval.

finally, a dose of 10M would, in most cases, give a permanent cure.

but, if the symptoms dont return, there is no need to take any further remedy.

best wishes.

May I add that you should not worry about the prescence of the pit, as long it remains dry and there is no discomfort.

Even when cases of external pilesare cured through homeopathy , it is rare that the outward growths retreat totally. What generally happens is that they won't cause any discomfort without really disapeearing totally.

Hi,

I don't think I've gotten rid of it completely. Recently, I started feeling it again....just a very slight discomfort when i'm sitting, like a little bit of burning sensation in that area...there's also an unnoticeable amount of pus.

I tried taking silica 1M for 4 days...but it didn't change anything....i wasn't sure how much i was supposed to take...on the package it says :'take 5 pellets 3 times a day', so i did that for 4 days.

Is there anything else I could do?

I believe there is....last time i took silica 200c there was a great improvement.

Thanks a lot.

The surface had dried...but inside there was still pus filled up.

So you have to first push out the pus...then use a med to dry the area.

See bill's case here ....

the pain had subsided and you said the pit was dry..

this means that the pus had dried up. this is a return of symptom.

i suggest you take HEPAR SULPHUR 12x some three times a day for a few days and once the pain is reduced, you can start with SILICEA 200c for a week.

I've had two pilonidal sinus surgeries - one in 1989 and one in 2002. After attending a workshop in Nov 2007, I sat on a hard surface bench for 6 hours and had noticeable pain in the sinus area. My tailbone hurts and I have constant pain around the outside of my anus and skin deeper in the tissue on either side. I have no noticeable abscess or drainage of fluid. A physician checked me saying I had no abscess so it wasn't that. Could the sinus be deeper, bothering me but not see on the surface? If so, is there a test the doctor can do to detect it?

hello there... its been a year n a half that i have pilonidal sinus.. at first it used to pain and used to drain once or sometimes twice a week a little bit.. then i started taking 'collinsonia canadensis Ø' and 'Aesculus Ø' twice a day... Now it doesn't drain anymore, but sometimes very often i feel uncomfortable while sitting as it pains a bit... and sometimes doesn't at all.... if there is any other medicine i should start taking so that the holes start to heal as they haven't.. my age is 27 male... there is a small pump on the left side a bit away from the sinus which is not visible but u can feel it.... i used to sit for long hours working on my computer which is the reason i got it.. it would be highly appreciable if there is any other medicine that i could take to cure or should i continue taking the medicine that i am recently.

hello doctor kadwa.. a per the treatment you gave me i followed that is :
2 pellets each of the following tissue salts thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for 15 days
calc sulph 6x
silicea 6x

i have not seen any improvement as such after going through this course.

there is no puss nor any sort of dranage, just the holes which are not healed yet. and to mention there are 5 small holes from the beginning.

can u suggest any other medicine that would do the job. thank you.

Whether you felt any changes in pain around the area. Please take three doses of Silicea 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only once) and see how it affects in the next 15 days. If there is no change, you should take a single dose of Silicea 1M which you may repeat after 1 month. By that time you can see what happens.

hello doctor kadwa,

its been around more than two months doing your treatment as told.... i took silicea 200c at a gap of 4 hours for one day (not daily, only once)... there was no chance then took Silicea 1M and repeated after one month... now i noticed that i dont have any pain put the drainage started... had it today and day before after i woke up.... along with that a pimp type has grown up after taking the medicine which grows and goes back in a period of few weeks of which im attaching a picture... kindly tell me which medicine should i take and kindly tell me is this because of the sinus or not... thank you.

It had been how many days that you have taken the latest dose of Silicea 1M.
A homeo remedy is a stimulation to the vital force. It doesn't effect any physiological changes on it's own. If the remedy is able to stimulate the vital force, all physiogical changes are effected by the vital force. As the vital force of each individual differs from others, the curative process also differs from person to person. Similarly it is not possible for me to tell whether there is any link beteween the sinus and the pimple.
If you could procure an ayurvedic medicine Haridra Khanda, you should take it 1/2 tsp in the morning and evening with water for 15 days and report back.

Clip the hair around the area ...coz they trap bacteria...clean the area and apply Calendula cream externally over the surface of the skin.
