Adult attention deficit disorder

Hi Sir/Madam

I'm a 33 yr old woman suffering (i believe) from adhd. It seems to run in the family and my Gran, Mother, uncle and brother (including myself) are ridiculously hysterical and (with much love) emotionally retarded. I seem though to be the only one to recognise that there seems to be a problem. I took prozac for a while a few years ago and it dramatically changed my life for the better. I was able to cope emotionally which I was incapable of before.
This most debilitating factor is social. I have all the best intentions to change but am carried away by what seems an instinct to self-defense and wound my 'adverseries'.

These are the primary indicators of my problem and personality:

Highly exitable, especially with people I like.
highly irritable, especially before mensis.
lack of self-esteem which manifests in violent outbursts.
unable to concentrate, mentally apathetic.
confused thoughts
negative
not able to form or sustain relationships of any kind.
difficulty in remaining enthusiastic for anything with the notable exeption of romantic relationships.
inattentive, desirous of being alone but in company(?).
bronchitis, at least once a year.
night sweats.
glandular swelling, especially in neck and throat.
post nasal drip.
inner-ear itching.
liquid from ears.
(was, for 3 yrs) bulimic.
over emotional with no perspective when in romantic relationships.
terribly jealous of mate's attention to others.
phobia of dying.
acne, with cyst like growths that never form pimples but hurt like hell
always got boogers in nose
left breast enlarged somewhat several yrs ago after being perfectly symmetrical from puberty.
bad menses, terrible cramping for at least first two days.
dark, thick menstrual blood, then spotting for several days.
Sometimes mensis stops completely after a few days then starts again with spotting for further 4 or 5 days.
I've gone a little over-board with the info but am desperate to live a normal, sociable life.
PLEASE HELP
Thank you

Reply to Sameer.

Hi Sameer. Thanks for replying.

The answer for questions:
1. Tight clothing aggitates me making me feel claustrophobic.
2. Yes, gradually feel better from the begginning of flow - notable relief
3. Have uncanny ability to find people's weak-spots. Am sometimes capable of assisting them positively though - sometimes to the point of changing their lives.
4. Suffice it to say that Romantic relationships keep me alive. I kind of live for them.
5. I had a very difficult childhood with much rejection from neurotic and manipulative mother. I met my biological father when I was 18 and he rejected me too. No stable family relationships. So yes, I like revenge but never perpetrate it. Preferring to wait, believing intrinsically in 'what goes round, comes round'.

Thank you again Sameer.

Thank you for your assistance.

1. negative self-image leading to depression and further negative self-belief, leading to this continuous cycle of negativity and depression. I don't like or trust myself and believe that no-one else ought to either. It's almost like there's a little devil-me living in my head constantly telling me I have and I am screwed up.
This means I can't sustain any kind of relationship, romantic, amicable or work. Have bad work record because loose interest and act up. Work makes me feel claustrophobic although I'd love to be happy at work and satisfied with what I do. Just can't seem to slow down enough. Have wonderful intentions but change my mind often and forget good logical reasoning almost as soon as I've made it.
2. Piles which bleed occasionally.
frequent sore-throats.
clicking joints - specially in wrists, knees and hip-sockets.
teeth break easily.
post nasal drip.
3. Hypochondria is rife in my family so I've learned to 'control' these associations.
4. Utterly worthless and unlovable.
5. I think I've always been a little neurotic (family trait) but my childhood was without love or compassion and full of rejection. That definitely aggrivated it.
6. Mornings or when I'm tired which I am frequently
7. I 'feel' other peoples emotions instantly and deeply, and negativity or judgement in my regard makes me see red. Being with someone I love or riding horses, reading, hot baths, touch and exercise relieves it somewhat. Not to mention alcohol and ... It gives me a bit of rest from myself.
8. No, I think it's emotional childishness but my mensis definitely adds a kick to the situation.
9. Better hot, dry weather.
10. Aggressive, irritable, moody, arrogant, lazy, easily offended, argumentative, irritating and NEEDY. clumsy, indecisive, unmotivated, over-exitable. sometimes excessive positive emotion is overwhelming and become hyper and lose control. borderline hysteria. violent but have it better controlled now with 'age'.
- love thunderstorms!
- no. I like knowing that someone is aware of my problem and is close but prefer to withdraw into myself until it passes.
- very developed senses.
- am exceptionally clumsy - always bruised somewhere, especially before and during mensis.
highly impatient - won't stand in a queue, become irritated and loud.
weep often during mensis.
nail-bite when strained.
have difficulty retaining eye-contact without making people uneasy. Have very direct look.
- have started to repair relationship with brother otherwise am disappointed and disillusioned with everyone. want everyone to be perfect - including self.
Keep husband at an emotional and physical distance. Find him irritating (I suck because he's a wonderful person).
fear death and rejection. Have nightmares of looking for loved ones and being or rejected. Often have dreams where want to scream but can't and have that 'running under water' sensation when dreaming of running away from danger.
12. Love English breakfasts, carrot cake. Hate peas with a passion and peppers.
love wine....
13. less, don't drink water in winter or cold drinks. do in summer.
14. normal to less normal. excessive before mensis.
15. Vitamin B, all types, act on me like caffeine, to which am highly intolerant - I go crazy - get aggitated. loose control of self almost entirely. can't sleep, bad! think am lactose intolerate. sometimes when I drink water and am standing it gives me tummy cramps.
16. have night sweats, like fevers. otherwise normal
17. v.good. in morning. varies - loose and dark when drink much alcohol. easily passed otherwise.
18. fall asleep on tummy facing left. or on side in foetal position. often toss and have insomnia when in emotional turmoil. often have nightmares.
19. alone yes. rarely with lover although i do enjoy the ride.
20.no.
21.prozac - worked wonders but had hectic dizziness so stopped.
have self-medicated with homeopathic sulphur which cleared acne up completely.
22. cancer - everyone in family has died or like Mom is dying of it now.
23. 1.69 m. brunette with much grey hair (dammit). strong, athletic build but hunched over posture, due in part to generous mammary glands. big hands, long fingers. underdeveloped lower jaw (but not ala Bart Simpson).
Wide, high-arched feet, long toes.
24. Comes at will most often late. Lasts anything up to 8-9 days (spotting)
25. Bloating, intense irritation and impatience, weepy, needy, impaired thinking, irrational, breast swelling and debilitating fatigue.
- starts normally enough then slows to spotting for several days.
-1st day red or bright red. 2nd day dark thick clotty.
- lots.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

Selly,

Please take 3 doses of Lachesis 30C on one single day. Space the doses by 3 hours. Then, no medicine for 1 week. Just wait and watch.

Do not eat for 1 hour after and 1 hr before each dose.

Report your status after 1 week.

All the best,
Sameer.

lachesis is one of the indicated remedies, but i am not able to relate much of your mental symptoms with it.

i thought lilium tig, platina or sepia could be more appropriate.

please take lach and see if it helps you mentally.

given to me, i would first recomment anacardium orientale followed by platina.

anyway, come back after a week and report if lach helps you mentally, for which you are actually here.

Dear Rishimba,

I also thought of the remedies you suggested.

I guess, it is all about little differences in our perception.

Lets wait for the response to Lachesis, and then she can try the other ones if that fails.

Best wishes
Sameer

Thank you both. It seems you agree on trying Lach first, so I shall. I'll let you know.

Cheers

Hi Sameer and Rishimba.

I took the Lachesis on Tuesday during the night. I have since started feeling poorly and it seems to be getting worse. I must admit to having been to a couple of parties this week where I consumed a few units of alcohol. But I began feeling this way Wednesday after the Lach and I'm feeling particularly bad today (no, this isn't a hangover feeling at all). I was nauseous the first couple of days after taking the Lach and my bowel movements were v. loose. I now also have a dull, throbbing headache in the middle of my forhead, just above the eyes, mental confusion and low self-confidence. Is this normal? Thanks!

selly last decade
You might have got an intial aggravation. Many a times, homeopathic remedies cause an initial worsening of symptoms followed by an
improvement.

Please hang on for 3-4 days. It should pass over and then we can asess the response better.

Please post status on Monday and I think you should feel better by then.

Hi Sameer

The physical symptoms have passed! Whew! That was pretty rough. I felt like was being scoured inside. This morning am still terribly crabby and most of all depressed. Have been teary-eyed all morning. Am suffering PMS from delayed mensis which might be contributing to emotional state? In general I feel emotionally like I want out!
Thank you for all your help!
Have a good week.

selly last decade
Dear Selly,

Thanks for the update.

No repetition of any medicine for now.

The previous doses are acting, and let your PMS pass over, and then after 2 more days, post back your status here.

You should feel better.

Sameer.

Hi Sameer.

This morning am not weepy and a little clearer of mind but still v. PMS. I was wondering if Lach is my consitutional type, and (scuse for ignorance and for asking but..) do you think that this one dose will clear 33 yrs of depression?
I remain much obliged to you for all your kind assistance!

selly last decade
Yes, I have seen some wonderful 'single dose cures'. So, it can happen. We should never under-estimate the power of a single dose.

You are reacting excellent to the remedy. NO more doses, keep me posted about the developments.

You are welcome.

Selly,

Any updates for us ?

Hi Sameer,

I have unfortunately had a few setbacks and am now in England looking after my Mom who has been suffering terribly from side-effects due to the chemotherapy she underwent. I am so up and down from the emotional upset this has inspired and am trying to give up smoking as a promise to Mom so NO, no improvement. Am probably worse than ever due to all this strain. Thanks for asking anyway.
Take care.

Selly,

I am extremely sorry to hear that. I hope everything falls into place soon.

Best wishes,
Sameer.
