Synovitis of toe joint

Hi

Have had this condition over a year now. As an auto mechanic,I'm on my feet alot. Was squating one day, working on a car with most of my weight on my right foot metatarsal region. The toe next to the big one was taking all the weight for an extended period of time. I was so involved in the job,I didn't notice my foot. When I came back to reality,I couldnt even stand up. My foot stayed in a curved position for about 10 minutes till things normalized. But the damage was done. From that point on I felt a little 'pebble' under my foot. Podiatrist says that lump is synovial fluid. Its relatively pain free as I'm writing this cause I'm off my feet for a couple of hours now,but my ability to work on my feet is greatly diminished as my foot cannot tolerate the pressure of being on that 'lump' for too long. I have been using shoe supports that help keep your foot off the painful part on the toe joint(right behind where that 2nd toe starts),but this has not alleviated my condition and is getting worse. My podiatrist has told me when I'm totally miserable, surgery would involve cutting the bone to shorten it in that toe and putting in a couple of screws. I dont think so.Of course he says there's no guarantee because I told him how I've heard of patients who now wish they'd never did surgery. So now that you have the backround of my condition, anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

I have read that homeopathy works by giving single dose and waiting for response. Why patient has to take medicines consecutively for two weeks?
