hypothyroidism and hair loss
Hi,I am 30 year old female. I started experiencing hair fall out in bunches, about 2 years ago and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. since then I have been on levothyroxine and now on armour thyroid. even though my tsh is in normal ranges, hair loss continues to be a problem. I have had several blood tests done and everything is pointing to hair loss as a result of my thyroid condition. please advise if there are any supplements i can take or any other remedies to treat the hair loss. hi, aunt on mothers side was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism ..no one else in the near family. Also no family history of baldness. Also, i have had tests done that rule out female pattern baldness. Problem is my TSH keeps fluctuating but within normal ranges. Please let me know if you have other specific qs. Thanks!

Hi ,
I have been taking natrum mur 200c for two days now. Last night i experienced rapid heart beats. Is natrum to treat just hair loss or hypothyroidism? I would also mention again that I am currently also taking Armour thyroid (natural T4/T3) combination drug (30/45 mcg alternative days). Do i need to stop taking that with natrum mur? Please advise

Natrum mur treat hypothyroid and hyperthyroid, if you taking other medicine you can continue when you feel better try to stop step by step,ok

Yes, tried the natrum mur for 5 days early March. Hair loss still continues to be a problem, no change, although other symptoms of thyroidism - like muscle twitching and rapid heartbeats is better.
I am still taking armour 30 mcg. I had my blood tests done and tsh was 1.75 with free T3 and T4 in mid normal ranges.
Please advise if there is anything I can take for hair loss.

Hello, my name is Shirley. The best way to test your thyroid and to find out if your thyroid is functioning correctly is to buy a mouth thermometer. Set the thermometer near your bed, first thing in the morning put under your armpit hold arm closely to body, do not move talk for 15 minutes, stay still, keep a log for 5 days, blood work is good also but this more accurate..If you are underactive include in your diet apricots, dates, egg yolks, molassses, parsley, potatoes, prunes whole grains, fish and chicken, raw milk and cheeses.

Hello, Shirley again..Eat these foods in moderation they tend to suppress the thyroid, eat in moderation in severe cases of hypothyroid don't eat at all...broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage kale mustard greens, peaches pears radishes spinach and turnips..any questions please ask

Hello Doctor ,
Im 27 years old . I hve vere swayer problem of alopecia ihve lost all my hair in my head . Also there are so many patches of dandruff in my hair & also this is dry dandruff .PLz btell me some suggestion .I take all treatments like alopathy.ayurvedic.
