Go ahead with Opium 6C, and then we will know.

Sir,
Yes, will do. I've ordered. Hopefully it will arrive soon. I'll keep you posted. THanks again.

Sir,
This may sound ridiculous but do you think a dose of codeine in the interim may help? I've ordered the Opium remedy but as it comes from overseas not sure when it will arrive. This is perhaps not homeopathic.

I cannot comment on this. :)

Sir,
yes my apologies. It is far fetched. I am just having a hell of a time with this. It has been on and off for a year now! Unbelievable. Thanks again.

Mr. Vermani,
I don't mean to harangue you etc. However, on another forum someone suggested taking Nux at a higher dose to antidote. Is this common practice? I don't intend on trying as I am too frightful of the outcome. However, I wanted to ask you and or any other serious practitioners out there if this is common way to antidote? Thanks again.

If one potency aggravates, the next higher one aggravates even more.

This theory of anti-doting with a higher potency is absolute rubbish.

Sameer,
Hello again. I am still awaiting the remedies - Nux liquid, Opium. My symptoms seem to have changed. Here they are:
1) In the morning, stomach is swollen and distended. Relieved by belching - oddly enough, the belching ensues when I bend down etc.
2) Rectum periodically retracted, causing headache. The headache is worse upon stooping and rising.
3) Peristaltic activity ok, stools now seem dry, large, difficult to expel slightly due to both: slight rectal inactivity and largness of stools.

What do you say? Somehow, when I look at Bryonia it seems to match. I've read somewhere that Bryonia follows Nux well etc.? Just wanted to ask. I'm not into self-prescription anymore, and to be honest with you I am feeling much better than a week ago when the reverse peristaltic activities of Nux were causing headaches the likes of which I've never seen. Thanks for your help.

thekind,

I think we should try to anti-dote Nux first.

And, then, we will take it from there.

Sameer,
I finally got the Op in the mail. I will follow your prescription and let you know. Thanks very much for your time and advice.

Sameer,
I took a dose of Op. The only thing I was concerned with was I took a teaspoon of the remedy before the tablet dissolved. Do you think this is an issue? If so, should I repeat dosage with tablet completely dissolved? Thanks.

Hmm... wait and watch first for 48 hours.

Sameer,
Hello again. Hope all is well with you. I am sure that the Op I took has had an effect. The rectal retraction has diminished. As well as the tympanitic distension of the stomach. However, one main symptom remains: the ineffectual urging. The best way I can describe it is that upon urging, when walking to the toilet I feel the stool recede upwards. This is what causes the ineffectual nature. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

Take 1 more dose from the bottle.

1 teaspoon.

Report 48 hours after this.

Sameer,
An academic question of sorts. I mainly get these nux attacks - i.e. the reverse peristaltic motion - in the afternoon. After lunch. Also, when I have been sick, or hungover(!) I find that I don't suffer from this problem. Something tells me that 's not a good sign. In as much as I've read somewhere on this forum that repeated doses can 'attach' themselves to the vital force. Hence, my fears in as much as these attacks seem worse when I feel healthy! Well, just rambling out loud. I'll repost results in 2-3 days. Thanks again.
