Toe Cramps

I have been getting cramps in my toes (3,4,5) right foot, sometimes left for about a year now. I thought it was the shoes I was wearing for work. Then I stopped wearing them and it hadn't happend for two months but tonight it happened again and is quite annoying. So far it has lasted about 2 hours. It always happens at night, usually when I lay down to go to sleep. Does anyone have any ideas
