medicine for vision recovery
My daughter was treated for hydrocephalus via a VP shunt and she has loss of vision in right eye and very week vision in left eye. The opthalmagists could not find any papilidema before/after the treatment. Is there any homeopathy mediicine to recactivate here optic nerves? What is the prognosis ? It is 1 week after surgery? How long to wait for the spontaneous recovery?dkc123 on 2004-11-29

I don't know about spontaneous, but recovery is good. Some children recover sight completely and others have a sight that no doctor can explain.
ARNICA and Staphysagria for the operation itself. Arnica at night and S in the am. The body is in a condition of trauma as if an accident. This is what the ARNICA is for.
Ask the dr about swelling. APIS M. will help sooth and eliminate the swelling that might interfere with healing. Swelling after surgery and especially in the case of the eyes, healing is better with APIS.
If any of this doesn't make sense, ask specific questions.
I worked with a child like this and she is most happy today. She does not have sight as we think of it. They were sure she would be blind. She gets around just like a sighted person and no one can explain it.
Remember to touch your child and say, "Thank you God, for her complete recovery in every way." Avoid saying negative statements. Children hear everything.
Stop the dr from saying stupid things like "she'll never get her sight back." Touch her eyes and say to her "you have perfect sight and perfect health." When loving her, tell her what a wonderful, smart child she is. Blessings, Sabra

Thanks for the replies. As I mentioned she has already been treated(operated) for hydrocephalus but there is no improvement in vision yet. (She is only 4.5 years old. Are there homeopathic remedies for the optic nerves?

I believe "dck" named and discribed her daughter's condition and surgery extremely well.
