sore throat, frequent colds

Hi,

I've had several colds this year already (rather unusual for me). The all start with a vague sore throat, that I can mainly feel at night, less during a day, I think it goes away when I eat something. I can also feel generally unwell, but nothing big - just knowing that 'something is coming'. It can last for a few days, then my nose gets stuffed up and it all develops into a cold that drags on and on. The nose discharge starts off clear, then turns into yellow (and this one stays after other symptoms of cold are gone). There's usually no fever, somtimes a headache, but I feel extremely tired, sometimes I can't move a limb for a few days.

Is there anything I can take to stop it from developing while I still have only the sore throat?
