Serious reaction to insect bites & stings

My 5 year old son has serious reaction to insect bites and stings.(Mostly ants and bees) The area will get VERY swollen and red to almost purple, very itchy, sometimes hives. Never problems with breathing. He has been to the ER 3 times because I can not keep the swelling under control. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Procure the following medicines and keep them handy.

Carbolic acid 200c
Apis 200c
Ledum Pal 200c.

One of these three will definitely help your son.

Come back after you procure them for further instructions.

O.K.

When it happens next him give him three doses of Carbolic acid 200c within one hour.

4 pellets/ one drop in about 20 ml. of water is one dose.

This will help to reduce the severity of reaction.

Try it out next time and report.Based on your report I will give further guidelines.

Murthy,

My son got two ant bites his
morning. I gave him your recommended dose of Carbolic acid and so far there has been only a small amount of swelling with a little redness. I'm very happy as he has never had this mild of reaction. Thank you. Your thoughts?

That is good news. Keep doing the same thing whenever he gets bitten.

The little swelling wil go away on its own.

Murthy,

The following day there was a

little more swelling and more

redness although still not as

severe as before. Should I give

another dose or wait it out?

Thank you for your help.

Better to wait it out unless you feel the problem is becoming severe enough to merit attention.

In such a case mix two pellets of carbolic acid in about 30 ml. of water and give him a teaspoonful every two hours after stirring the medicated water well before giving each dose.

Use a disposable cup and plastic spoon.

You can give upto six doses like this. If the problem persists even after giving six doses report back.
