Lachesis, is not to be taken carelessly without matching a number of important symptoms of the med.

It is a medicine made from snake poision.

Careless dosing of Lachesis can leave a permanent ill effect...can also cause damage to Retina of the eyes.

Advising a remedy for bowel movement is the most immature thing in the world.

Even the most basic principles of homeopathy clearly state that the disease is not to be cured but the person as a whole.

There is a responsibility of all of us to learn the principles before prescribing.

Sam,
In response to your question/suggestion, I'm trying to list what may seem pertinent to prescribing:

1) Temperament - I am a fairly easy going person. A bit shy and reserved. I like being alone usually. Its actually quite hard to talk about myself, as I don't know what traits are unique from the usual human condition!
2) I can trace these stomach ailments to shortly after my father's death 4 years ago. Almost just a few weeks afterwards I started to develop stomach pains and IBS symptoms. I can't say if it was the grief that caused it, or the alcohol and coffee I was imbibing to cope with the stressors of the time period.
3) This rush of blood to the head after stool happens primarily in the afternoons - actually, almost exclusively. It causes a certain confusion in the head - almost like I can't think straight. I also have trouble sleeping past 3am. This last symptom, however, was not present until after I started taking homeopathic remedies - i.e. Nux V and more recently Sulph.

Its a complicated case, I'm sure. Made more so by my own tinkering with medicines. I just belabor the rush of blood symptom as is it is really the most debilitating. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.

This is not enough information to prescribe on.

What you think is not 'pertinent' might just be the most important component of your case.

Dear Mr.Grumpy,

Uh !
I have read all his posts and then only suggested Silicea.

Dear Mr Pankaj,

I have read all his posts also, there is no way one should prescribe a remedy on the information given.

The temperament, character, likes and dislikes etc are very important to understand the whole personality and then match them to the personality of the remedy.

I see no such information.

My aim is to make the patient aware, the must know on what basis they are being prescribed.

Just a minute !

As per the theory of Cell Salts, the deficiency of one or more of the cell salts causes disease.

In case of ineffectual bowel movement ...it stipulates that the body is deficient in Silicea.

So what I have said is not wrong.

I think you are un-necessarily trying to gain control here by pretending to wear the cloak of a public informer.

I am just trying to patients aware.

Every prescribe must prescribe on the basis of totality of symptoms.

How many other remedies also cover ineffectual bowel movement. If we had silica for bowel movement why need those remedies?

The personality of the remedy and person must match. It very simple. If you want permanent cure.

I am not trying to take control of everything.

Patients come to the forums at a sensitive time not being able to see right and wrong. They must be warned.

Is there a questionnaire still floating about? I don't mean to cause controversy!

Just for clarification : A 30c potency does not have any material presence of Silica in it, and hence its use is NOT to rectify any 'deficiency of one or more of the cell salts' in the body.

I am writing some questions , but the answers can span other spheres as well

1./) Do you get angry ? if so, in what situations ?

2./) How emotional are you ? How sympathetic are you to other people's problems ?

3./) What is your profession ? Are you more of a follower or leader in general ?

4./) Do you get jealous or envious ? If so, when ?

5./) What are your food cravings/aversions ?

6./) Any liking or disliking for some weather or temperature ?

7./) What are your strongest fears ?

8./) Do you have anxiety about anything ?

9./) Can you forgive easily ?Are you ever vindictive ?

10./) Do you tend to think over something a lot ? If so, what is it

11./)Do you have any social anxiety while interacting with people ?

12./) How are you with spending money ?

13./) How caring/ affectionate are you towards your family ?

14./) Any desire or aversion to company ?

15./) Any liking or disliking for
--tight clothing ?
--consolation ?
--thunderstorms ?
--music ?
--certain persons ?
--sea shore ?

16./) Any time of the day when you are at your most productive and feel the best ? e.g. morning , afternoon, evening or night ?
