Pilonidal Cyst - Please Assist.

I have been doing an extreme amount of sitting recently. I had problems sitting since last week. On Sunday December 12th,2004 after putting heatpacks on the cyst, it came to a head and burst, started with yellowish-brown pus, then mixed with blood then just blood. My wife says the opening is the size of a penhole. On Monday I went to the doctor and they said It was pilonidal cyst and recommended surgery. Currently changing guaze regularly. Gauze shows diluted blood with a light clear substance, very light amount. I have no more pressure between my butt and I am able to sit ok. I am concerned about the light continual flow I am having and I know I do not want to do surgery. Could someone please suggest what homeopathics to purchase, how much to take, how long to take them for.
I am taking 10 day supply of antibiotics per Doctor orders.
Height= 6'3
Weight=450lbs
No known diseases, Doctor says blood pressure almost normal,no diabetes yet. No previous ailgments. Had the flu last year.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What do you mean...No diabeties, yet? Are you waiting for it to appear??? No diabeties...period.

OK, No surgery. It is not necessary. When the cyst has already broken and is draining, this is the good part. Keep it clean, Wash often, wash hands often. When you shower, (no tub bath) dry with new towel each time, then into the clothes hamper. The idea is to not spread any germs. from or back to it.

If you can, tuck a non-stick guaze between buttox, to keep from rubbing.

Get some ECHINACEA 200X. Or what you can get. Take one dose per day for 3 days.

If the cyst had not broken, We would have suggested ONE dose of SILICEA to bring to surface. Use this if another developes.

Sabra,
Thank you for your kindness & knowledge.I just have a few follow up questions. There are 2 types of Echinacea on this website I can buy, Echinacea Angustifolia and Echinacea Purpurea. Which one should I use? Also is there a certain brand I should buy? What does 200X mean? And finally wil the Echinacea dry the cyst up? I know the part of the purpose of the surgery is to remove the cyst so it supposedly will not reoccur. Is there something I need to take to dry up the cyst?
Thank you again in advance for all and any help. Sorry for my questions.

P.S. Sabra do you work for ABC Homeopathy, do you have a business doing this kind of work? Best Wishes.

Hi Wendall, ECHINACEA RUDBECKIA. just make sure it is "Purple cone flower." Some manufacturers use diff names.

This should "heal" the cyst from the inside out. The 200X is a strength type..."potency." If you can't get it exactly, get what you can. One does not have to be exact. No certain brand...Small bottle, # 10 granules is best. (more doses to keep in your starter kit) 5 little granules is one dose. No water, food, toothpaste 15 min before or after. Melt under tongue is proper way. Homeopathy is NOT taken with water "like a pill."

The white granules or pellets are the "house" of the remedy. Do not put some "back" into jar, this contaminates the remedy. Either take them or toss away. If you were to eat the whole bottle, it would be one dose.

If you cannot get the smaller granules, the others are larger pellets like BB size. Take 3 as a dose under tongue as above. Let melt. No chewing.

When using homeopathy, surgery is not necessary as when another comes up or it repeats, then we begin the treatment again. (SILICEA)

I do not work for ABC. They allow me to write on the forum as a volunteer so long as I behave myself.

I treat people where I live as a 40 + years homeopathic practitioner.

See my posts on this subject via another thread.
Daughter of Framboise was healed because of the advice. The surgery was not needed any more.

Sabra's advice of Echinesea is also very useful.

However, don't delay treatment as with time the ailment can get worse.

have an abcess on the base of my spine about and inch below the crease of my but.

It is kind of painful and makes it hard to sit down for too long of a time.

I started to take an antibiotic that the doctor recommended but it didnt help so I went to the doctor and he recommended drainage.

I scheduled an appointment with the surgeon and just before I went to the surgeon the skin broke and most of the abcess drained.

The surgeon of course wanted to do the surgery anyway and told me there is only a 20% chance that the abcess will heal.

I am a big chicken when it comes to needles and certainly dont want any uneccesary surgery regardless of how simple it is.

At the worst the abcess was about the size of a med sized acorn. It was so uncomfortable that I had a problem tying my shoe.

At this point it is a little bigger than a pea and not very painful. It was draining for most of the night but it appears that the hole closed.

I left the surgeons office and did not get the sugery ...
I felt uncomfortable with the doctor and felt like he was a used car salesman high pressure selling me to get the surgery.

My mother ( 75 years old ) mentioned that in the "old days" they would bathe in epsom salt and use black sauve.

I am currently trying this approach.

I am bathing in very hot water for 20 -30 minutes 4 times a day in the bath I put about 2 cups of epsom salt

after the bath I dry off and apply black sauve with a sterile gauze.

I am rescheduled on monday for surgery. I left the doctors office and he said that he would like to see me on monday to either confim that the abcess is better or that the surgery needs to be done. I would like to try everything I can to avoid the surgery on monday.

I fould your forum and this thread and was wondering if the stuff you are talking about could help my condition.

I am still taking the antibiotics.

I am overweight and have high blood pressure. Drink more than moderately and dont have the greatest eating habits.

What more could you recommend for me?

Do you need more info?

Please help!!!

Sabra,

Your advice apperas very sound and is certainly a vast improvement on the alternative - surgery.

I have one question for you. You recommend taking one dose of Silicea 30X weekly for 3 weeks. I am having trouble obtaining Silicea 30X in Australia - is this a brand or the active ingredient. If its a brand, what is the active ingredient and in what dose - I may be able to find an alternative brand.

Regards and thank you,

Rob
