13 yr old autistic son - heavy spitting
My son recently in the last 2 months has been salivating so much, he coughs and hacks up spit and rubs it on his toys, his face, anything. He also has been stacking and lining up things, reorganizing things in our house, pillows on the couch, shampoos in the shower, etc. He bites his fingers when upset, loves playing in water, but afraid of deep water, covers his ears alot because of noise or fear. Is non-verbal. The spitting and playing with spit is something new. His homeopath has been giving him Mercurious Iodum Flavus , it only works a short time and he starts again, Does anyone have any ideas. He the type of child, he's so sensitive to remedies he seems to pick up the behaviors we try to rid him of. Thanks Sherrysherryb on 2008-09-12

Yes, he was an unplanned pregnancy, we had 4 daughters before I had him, my husband did not want me to keep the baby. Then my husband was OK with it when he found out it was a boy. When I was 7 months pregnant I got in a bad car accident with 2 of my daughters, the man that hit us was screaming and drunk so I was really shook up. When my son was 2 days old they gave him the Hep B vaccine in the hospital and about 4 days later he had a screaming episode that lasted 6 hrs and we were at the ER of the hospital. He also had severe reaction at 16 mos. from the MMR. He had language and social skills before and lost it all within 3-4 wks. Also ear inf with tubes in at 1 yr. Tonsillectomy at 2 yrs. Hernia operation at 6 yrs. old. Surgery on his foot, 66 stitches for a severe cut at 9 yrs old.
Grandfather- fraternal side had diabetes, cancer. died.
grandmother- alive, athritis
Grandfather- maternal, skin cancer, sexually abused as a child, death by suicide, severe depression.
Grandmother-maternal, high blood pressure, died at 67 of embolism rupture in abdomen.
Parents in good health.
No known alcoholism.
Childs general personality, happy, mischevious, gets mad at himself, loving, restless, loves to eat, runs, plays in water. He is a very healthy boy, all test come back very good. He's 5'7', weighs 250 lbs. He's a big boy. He loves sensory things, pressure, squeezing things, popping or breaking something. He LOVES playing in water, running it, squirting it. Does not like deep water, will play all day near our pool but does not go in it. He loves to sort and stack items. He is a warm blooded person, takes sheets off when sleeping, wears less clothes as possible, Sleeps with the pillow very tightly around his head at night, almost so he gets no air to breathe. He's afraid at night. If you pull if off while he;s sleeping (he seems like he's always half awake) he'll pull it back on his head and hold it tightly.
He's very loving with his family but demanding, he is impatient and expects you to get him what he wants when he's ready. He's wary of strangers. Tends to stay in his room when people are over. Does not like the noise especially young children, the higher pitch sounds. Does not like the lawn mower, airplanes,etc. Loud noises, He wears sound blocking headphones at school.

He's is very smart and learns things very fast when he wants to. If you try to hide something or change something he's the first person who'll notice but to do school work its more repetition for him. They have to keep doing things over and over for him to get it. I would not consider him mentally retarded. I also have a brother (maternal side) who is Autistic, higher functioning Asbergers. He has the same intestinal problems as my son, My son is on a gluten and casein free diet. He loves veg. broccoli, artichokes, any type of veg, drinks only cold water.

please give him NAT MUR 1M three doses at ten minutes interval on a single day only.
give these doses to him first thing in the morning in empty stomach. no food or water for the next one hour minimum.
please dont give any sweet, excess salt, sour, camphor, pepermint, onions or garlic for the next 48 hours.
you should expect a personality upgrade in the next 2 months.

Dear Rishimba, thank you so much for your fast reply. Within those 2 months can I give other remedies if needed or how soon? His homeopath now wants to give Merc.Iodium Flavus a 9c daily. Should I wait, when should I give that or not at all? Thank you again Sherry

You might have to re-think about the choice of your homeopath. You never repeat same potency for long durations, as these are energy medicines which just stimulate the body in the right direction, and once the patient starts responding to the first dose, there is no need for further doses, and undue repetition can be harmful , especially in view of your son being 'sensitive' to remedies. I would also be careful in giving a high potency like 1M to your son, if he is sensitive to remedies.
