neck pains, tenderness

I've been suffering from muscle like left sided neck pains for the last 2 weeks. For the last 3 days ago, I am now suffering with shooting pains in my left ear with tenderness on left side of face,& behind left ear.Even my scalp is tender. Small discomfort on left side of face also with swallowing. Any suggestions of what this is, what may help please?

Hi, thanks. Forgot to mention that I recently had a moderate 'flu' also. The gland is swollen in my left neck. I'd say cold would make it worse, as well as bending forwards, any movement as well. Also dull headache persists.
I think heat would make it worse, otherwise the shooting pains through the whole area are random/at any time.

if its due to a swollen gland, PULSATILLA 30C can be taken 4 hourly till the pain reduces.
