fasting might help

my breath had been really bad (and i also have some colon issues going on), so i decided to try fasting from food once a week. over the weekend my husband was complaining alot about my breath, so on monday, i went without food and drank lots of water (not easy to do), but one think that i noticed was 2 large tonsil stones dislodging. my breath is fine now. thought i should mention it.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
During fasting no chance of lodgement of food particles into tonsillar fossa. So less chance of infection. For that reason, fasting may help you for few days. But it doesn't give you permanent cure. You need treatment.

all i know is that one day my breath stunk bad - the next day (after 2 large chunks of matter that i inspected - looked like build up of plaque & smelled pretty bad - fell out of their little holes!) i think fasting & drinking lots of water might have helped them fall out.

i took a look at the back of my throat today (for the first time), and about gagged myself! i don't think my mouth is conducive for 'scraping' the boogers out like so many seem to do. i think the only 'for sure cure' for this problem would be getting the tonsels removed.

i'll figure out some way to manage this, but am glad to know the source of my putrid breath!
