Rush

Hi,

My 70 years old father called me and ask for help for the rush he has on the flexure of the groin/inguinal flexure region.

I have difficulties explaining this, because I don't know the medical vocabulary. But:
The rush is very, very red, the skin is peeling, it is very itchy. That is how he described it.

I searched information from the internet and found out that most probably the either Trichophyton rubrum/
Trichophyton mentagrophytes/
Epidermophyton floccosum that causes it.
This is not the first time he has it.

I find the skin problems difficult to deal with. Rhus tox/ Sulphur?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

Hi Zahid,

To my knowledge antim crudum is for rush that is pustular. My father's rush is dry. Just very red and itchy and peeling off.

If this matters, but my father always wears high collars, even at night. Easily chilled.
He is overweight, who eats fast and a lot.

Elderly people always prone to some gastro-intestinal disturbances.Long term gastritis may cause taeniasis or fungal infection around groin or inguinal region as well as some sorts of respiratory problem.Antim crude is the drug of choice for them whether it is pustular, dry or red.

Hi Zahid,

I have a couple of questions:

My father has started taking Antim Crudum. If the deepest problem is due to gastro-intestinal disturbances (that is totally possible), doesn't homeopathy work so that it cures the gastric problems first and the skin problems later? So when he should see the improvement in the rush? After how many days I check that from him?

Secondly I run out of antim crudum 30 c. Maybe there is enough if it for 5-7 days, but not longer. I have antim crudum 200 c at home. Can he continue with that?

Hi,

My father took Antim crudum 30c for 7 days. After 5 days he said that the rush on his head was better. But the ingunial region was the same.

This weekend he took Antim crudum 200c and said that no change.

Next advise?

Hi,

My father is ok. The redness is gone and there is only a little bit of itching. He says that maybe Antim Crudum had a bigger influence than Ars.

He has a couple of new problems. The skin has become so thin because of the rush that it bleeds easily. The wrong kind of underpants with rubberbands make it bleed.
Is there anything to help the skin get thicker?

He also says that he is soooo tired that never been before. He has been tired for several years already, but after starting takin Antim crudum he became ever more tired. He can just fall at sleep in the middle of sitting and reading.

Could you please advise how to continue?
