Tried Petroleum and Nat Mur - what next?
My son has been out of balance for a month. He is not really sick, but not well either.- his face is pale and there is dark circles around the eyes
- tired and sleeps a lot
- more thirsty than normally
- he eats only a little bit (normally eats lots and lots of everything)
(- graves salt, but that is normal. )
- almost all skin is dry like a sandpaper. I put very thick lotion every day, but it is still dry and itchy. Scratches a lot. Worse on the back and on the stomack (the skin is atopic, but normally the itchy patches are only below elbows and behind knees)
- there is some phlegm in the throat. He tries to get it out, but I have not seen if anything gets out.
- gets upset and cries more than normally.
Because of the skin I gave him Petroleum 200 c once 3 weeks ago. No help at all.
I gave him Nat Mur 200 c twice last week. The skin became softer, but there was no effect for appetite, drinking, throat or pale skin.
The boy is thin (even though he eats a lot normally) so that you can see the ribs. Blond hair and blue eyes. Quite tall.
Please advise how to proceed!

Try calc.sulphurica 200c single dose.Then wait for the response.

I was not able to get Cac Suphurica, so I gave him Hepar sulphur 30 c three times.
The boy is otherwise fine, but the skin is still very, very dry. Since you have had great advise always before, how would you advise me in this case?

You can try Echinesia Q 10 drops once daily for few days.Along with you can tyr ferrum met 6c twice daily for few days.

You suggest very unusual remedies. I don't have them and I don't know if I can ever purchase them in my very allpathic country.
I read about Echinesia and Ferrum Met. I did not find any remarks about dry skin. Why do you think these are good?
The boy does not have any other symptoms. He had had eczema specially during winters all his life, but this dryness is new.
He is philosophical to his age, difficult nature with strong will, messy, loves legos, does not accept anyone as a friend and does not have many friends. He is different from a 'normal' child that is why he is being teased. Some years ago I tried Sulphur when I was trying to find out his constitutional remedy - but he became violent with Sulphur.
Specially when he was younger he had difficulties taking dissappointies. He gets really furious when dissappointed. (nowadays he has a projection thinking 'I don't care'). And he has strong will to win. I myself have been thinking of Lachesis. But that does not cover dry skin, does it?

The remedies mentioned above are not for your son or for the vital force. They will never cure your son and bring him health permanently.
I remedy is always given to the person not to a disease as you say dry skin which is just a manifestation of the disease.
Unfortunately these days many people have forgotten what Hanheman said and think his principles are just old and have no relevance today.
As your son is young you should take more care when prescribing him remedies. What potency of sulphur did you give to him,
I do not see much of Sulphur in your son, Sulphur are mostly, Lazy, dirty, Intelligent, critical and likes to be praised and proclaimed the best.
Please look for a good Classical Homeopath, the best one here in my opinion is Sameer. Please make a topic in his name, he will help you.

Always dry skin,use very thick lotion everyday.It indicates anaemia,malnutrition,parasitic infestations and blood toxiemia.Echinesia is for blood purifier and ferrum met is for the correction of anaemia.

Unfortunately homeopathic medicines are not helpful for this situation.
Try this:
Give him well-cooked Spinach with other food. Spinach will improve his appetite. He is anemic. Dark circles around eyes will go away with regular use of Spinach and Broccoli once a week.
Also, he needs B-Complex (daily multiple vitamins) for a faster relief.

Hello everyone,
I guess I did not express myself clearly. After giving Hepar Sulphur the boy has been fine: no pale face, no loss of appetite, no dark circles etc.
The boy again, as normal, eats a lot (except the week or two before giving Sulphur when he was not fine)and healthy. We eat several times a week broccoli, quite often spinach, he takes multivitamine everyday. I make very, very, very healthy food. There is no way that he could have anaemia. And there is nothing wrong with the boy in that area.
So: the only symptom he has now is the dry skin that is chronical.I don't look for advice for anything else.
I have no idea what is his disease that the dry skin is a manifestation of. It comes from my heritage, I have been atopic all my life. And my other son has the same dry skin.
Sulphur was given him by Magicure - if somebody still remembers him from this forum. I have not heard from him for a long time. He did great job with my other son (and I think that is the case why his skin is better than this 8 yrs old).
I also think he has lots of Sulphur in him: not lazy, but dirty, intelligent, critial and wants to be proclaimed the best.
The facts are:
- We are scandinavians and our world is even too sterile (this sterility is one of the reasons why we have lots of allergies: our bodies have enemies or diseases so we have to fight against our own body). There are not parasitic infections over here and we have not been travelling.
- The school offers (by law) free healty food and I make very healthy food. And the boy eats everything and a lot. There is no way he is malnutrited.
Since in my contry homeopathy is not valued and I have difficulties to get it, I do find very diffult to get and try Echinesia.
