Toothache & Jaw Pain

Dear Doctors,
I was advised by my dentist that the pain I had around the left lower molars was due to recending gum exposing the sensitive base of the teeth. The teeth are still in good condition.I took opportunity to do descaling and prolonged wide opening of the mouth during the descaling is now causing pain and the jaw bone while chewing hard food. it has been 5 days now. What medicine should I take for the receding gum pain and the jaw problem ? thank you.

I forgot to mention. I am a 52 yr old male, 72 kg very active physically, have not been using allopathy for may years now. Some coincidence, 3 days before the pain I completed a 9hr walking competition in the hot sun and I have been eating out more than home cooked food for 2 weeks due to Business travel.
