sepia and/or nat mur proving? please advise..
Hello,I believe i may be stuck in a proving of sepia or maybe nat mur. Just as a short background, I am 26 years old, female, brown hair and eyes, very thin frame, 5'3' and 98 pounds. I am prone to anxiety which runs in my family. My mother's mother had addisons disease. I have allergic reactions to the cold...i get itchy hives when exposed to cold temperature. For example when sitting on cold surfaces, swimming, or being out in cold weather, especially if it's windy. I had a much milder version of the problem as a child and then it went away until i was about 20 at which time it back back in a much more severe form. I have also had recurring problems with ringworm infections most of my life. At the age of 19 i developped panic disorder and was having panic attacks every day for months. i saw a homeopath and was prescribed nux vomica which helped very much. my panic never returned although i do have on and off bouts of generalized anxiety/depression. In the summer of 2005 my homeopath had me taking sepia, i think 6c, twice a day for a few months. In the beginning it relieved some of my symptoms but i had a huge aggravation of my allergy to cold and nearly went into shock after swimming one day and being covered in hives afterwards. While taking the sepia i also started noticing that i was hungrier than usual and i craved carbs. Then i started waking up sweating at night, and having problems with severe bloating and stomach cramps. i put on alot of stomach fat. i also sometimes felt starving even if i'd already eaten and i had symptoms of low blood sugar. eventually most of these problems went away. But then a couple of years later i began taking sepia again (not prescribed by homeopath) in higher potency (i think 200c and not frequently, only a few doses) hoping to relieve some skin issues and the ringworm. Again at that time my problems with blood sugar and reactions to the cold were aggravated but i didn't make the connection to the sepia (don't ask me why as i shoud have). Then this past winter i started taking sepia AGAIN first in 12c then 30c potency. After a while of taking it (i was taking once every week then once every two weeks) it didn't seem to be helping so i started taking nat mur 30c first once a week then once every two weeks. (i have also taken nat mur in the past briefly for depression and it did help with the depression but afterwards i lost weight and developped digestive problems). Now for the past few months i have been having very bad problems with hypoglycemia and i suddenly realized that i think this is caused by the sepia. My low blood sugar is reactive (reactive hypoglycemia)...it happens a while AFTER eating meals. It makes me feel shaky, nervous, sweaty, weak, i get headaches and my hands and feet get cold. And i feel STARVING. sometimes after eating my whole abdominal cavity still feels empty and i still feel so hungry and weak. and it makes me very anxious and aggravates underlying anxiety problems that i already have. one month ago i started flushing...extreme heat in the chest that spread to arms and face (and i was visibly red). i work in medical research in a hospital and so my colleagues took me to the emergency room because i felt so out of it and didn't know why my heart was so HOT. all of my labs came back normal but now i discovered that flushing can also be caused by low blood sugar (they didn't take my blood right away so probably by the time they did my blood sugar was back to normal range). after my trip to the ER i started having problems with bloating (extreme bloating i looked about 4-5 months pregnant) for a few days again and for about a week i had trouble sleeping. for two days i had very bad insomnia so i took nux vomica 30c (because it has helped me with anxiety in the past). I only took two doses, about 4 days apart. I am not having trouble sleeping anymore but the hypoglycemia is becoming a big problem. I take my blood sugar with a kit at home and when i have symptoms it is always below 70. I am concerned it's an effect of the sepia and i don't know if i should antidote. Sorry this was long and a bit unorganized but please advise and i am happy to answer any further questions. Thank you!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
By the way i should mention that i tend to have oily skin and dandruff. I never had any skin problems as a teenager but in my early twenties i got very oily skin and then bad acne (small pimples all over fast that healed slowly) for a while. It has subsided a great deal but i still have somewhat oily skin and get milder breakouts. I also noticed recently that i have many pimples on upper back and sometimes on my chest. And also i cannot put on weight for the life of me. I think the nat mur usually aggravates my oily skin. Also i am sensitive to epinephrine and a doctor once told me i had adrenal fatigue although i dont know how he knew that as he did no blood work.

The duration of action for sepia is 50-60 days. So the symptoms that you have should not be attributed to sepia as you took sepia 2 months ago.
Take bach flower remedy crab apple twice a day for few days if you somehow always think that you should rid of sepia provings.
Reactive hypoglygemia can be treated by doing the following-
1. Do physical exercise regularly
2. Take a fiber rich diet.
3. Avoid junk food, black drinks etc.

Actually i have read that the duration of sepia action can be quite long, up to one year. and the same for nat mur. but i will try the bach flower remedy. I am a runner so i get lots of physical exercise, and i don't eat any junk.

Can anyone else confirm that the action of sepia only lasts 2 months? because it is my understanding that sepia is actually one of the longest acting remedies and that it is important to be careful not to cause disturbances from it because they can be quite difficult to fix... can anyone comment on this? My last dose of sepia (30c) was on Dec 11, 2008. Then beginnin Dec 29 i took nat mur 30c about once every two weeks until march 25. Then on march 26 and march 30 i took nux vom 30c.
