menstrual acne help

hi,
I think you can help me, i just need advice. I have been seeing my homeopath since november 2008. I have an acne problem and he put me on mercsol because i sometimes get tosilits and with my monthly period i get bad acne ever since i was 14. Im 21 now and i told him it wasn't working so he now gave me kalibromb...do you think this is the best acne treatment for my menstrual acne? i get acne mainly on the chin, jaw line, neck and cheeks.

I have only been on kaibromb since 24th April and now its the 21st May...how long does it take to fully work? i had a few erruptions on my chin, neck just recently when i had my period.

Please answer thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Both medicines are frequently indicated for acne. Since you have a chronic acne, I would advise do not expect miracle with any treatment. Only acne where the main culprit is infection then one can expect a fast recovery. I had seen few cases which cleared with some antibiotics just within 15 days and not recurred ever. Hormonal acne can be treated very effectively with oral contraceptive pills, but there is a general observation and thought that interfering hormone with hormonal or steroid treatment may make the patient prone to various hormonal disorder including diabetes, obesity, etc. Please see my previous posts related to acne in my profile section for knowing other factors helping acne management.

i have been on menomycin and that other one for antibiotics and i used them for over a year which took away my acne then it came all back n my body was immune to the treatment. i have also gone on diane35 and it did not help at all.. besides i wanna try something that is more heathier than this synthetic hormonal treatment. i am now shorsided from taking antibiotics...there was a warbning that is can make your eyes blurry n now i have permanent damage.

Im very disappointed in your response are you trying to tell me that kalibrom is a waste of time and wont work because i have 'menstrual acne'?

I am not trying to tell you so definately.

I just tell that not expect a magic with homoeopahy or even any other system.

Know various factors which brough relief for acne such as drinking plently of water, eating a green apple in morning, washing face at lease three to four times daily, etc.

What response you are noticing. If it has to work then 4-5 day treatment usually brough some changes
positive or negative.

i have three new acne hurtful spots on my chin. Im never going to find a cure. when my hormones (periods) are timing its world war 3 on my chin :(

i think im going to go on Spironolactone. some people say it works for their menstrual acne. my body is crap. ive spent enough on things that dont work or stop working. Do you think this is a bad idea?
