fracture - emergency!

Hi! My mum has fractured her left wrist. And she is going to travel in a month. I would like to know if there is a faster way to heal her wrist. I also heard something about arnica and symphytum. Are they the correct medicines? Which potency? How many doses?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi abc

Yes first thing for trauma is arnica. Arnica shall be used in 200c twice or thrice daily for some days. Once there's improvement in trauma, symphytum can be given ----it can be 30c twice daily for a week. But please make sure before giving symphytum, the bones are physically set in right order.

After symphytum if need be follow it up with calc. phos 6c thrice daily to speed up healing.

Hi Maheeru,
Thank you so much for this precious help! I'm really glad for it! I've already bought arnica 200ch and symphytum 30ch. How long do you think she should take arnica 200c? The doctor has asked her to come back on monday, so he can tell if she is going on plaster or on surgery (because the bone wasn't broken only in two pieces, there are some little pieces of bones as well. So maybe she will need platinum.) He told us, in this case, immobilization is, sometimes, enough. So, how long do you think she should take arnica 200c, before start to take symphytum?

Thank you one more time!

Hi abc

You're welcome. Roughly arnica 200c for 4 or 5 days should do. Also have arnica 1M handy. If pain and trauma discomfort reduces with arnica 200c its fine, but if there's still pain after it, arnica 1M a couple of doses on a single day shall be given. arn. 1M need not be repeated later.

Ok. Shoul I put three drops of arnica on a 400ml spring water and take 1 spoon? Or should I just give her 5 drops under her tongue?

Also, I forgot to ask: Is it safe for her to take symphytum, cause she has glaucoma.

Thank you so much!

Hi

You can just give her 3 to 5 drops under her tongue itself.

She can take symphytum even if she has glaucoma. Symphytum can only do good to her eyes.

Hi maheeru!

I would like to thank you immensely for your precious help. I am sure she is much better now because of your prompt medication! Thanks a lot!

I have one more question though:
You've told me to give her arnica 1M if pain and trauma disconfort didn't reduce with arnica 200c. So, I would like some help since I am not sure if I should give it or not. Let me describe her situation:
She doesn't have pain anymore.
Before she couldn't move her fingers, now she can.
But it is still swollen.
She also has described some kind of nerves refletion when she moves her finger. She told me it is not pain it is like nerve impulses that she feels through her wrist and hand nerves.
Also, today she has gone back to her doctor and he told her if it continues to progress like that it won't need an operation, but maybe she will have to operate and put some platina (he will decide it on next wednesday, when she will go back there). I guess, if the little pieces of bones didn't gather together by itself, he will operate her and put some platina inside her wrist.
So, should I give her arnica 1M? What is your opinion?

Sorry, I always forget to ask something. I also would like to know how do you feel about hypericum 200ch?

abcjoana last decade
Hi abc

Continue arnica 200c for three more days. You can also give Hypericum 200c thrice daily for next 3 days. please report after that, we'll see about 1M then.

Ok. I will. Thank you so much!

Hi abc

Any update? I think by this time you might have moved on to symphytum or calc. phos.

maheeru last decade
Hi maheeru!
Well, besides arnica 30c that she takes every day (wet doses), she already took ledum and symphytum. After a couple of days she complained about a discomfort around her thumb so I gave her ledum again and it was great! I realize that ledum made her pain vanished and her temper great! That's is a question: when can I start with calc. phoph?

abcjoana last decade
Hi

Is that arnica 30c? Didn't we talk about 200c earlier? Any way at this point of time more than arnica, symphytum and/or calc. phos would be more appropriate.

Once you 've finished symphytum course, you can give calc. phos.

maheeru last decade
Yes. She took 200ch first, once the swollen went off, she went back to 30ch. (she is taking the wet doses of dr. joe de livera).

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Just a correction...Wet doses were devised by Hahnemann.

Hi Doctors!

My mum’s wrist is almost 100%.
But she still experiences movement restriction (even after taking two months of physiotherapy).
What would be the best medicine to losen out the wrist area?
Causticum 30?
Beriberis Vulgaris MT?
Bryonia 30 ?
Ruta G 30?
Or maybe something else?

Thanks a lot.
Joanna

Hi Joanna

Give her rhus tox 30c thrice daily for next 3 days and update me after a week. If this persists after a week, please also record some modalities, sensation and concomitants to this movement restriction. For e.g. how does her problem feels with touch, pressure, motion, temperature, when it gets better/worse etc.

Hi Maheeru!

I'll let this post only for my mum. Her elbow is inflamed. Is there any medicine for it? I guess it's the right one, but I am not sure.
:)
God bless you!
Joana.

Hi Joana

Any causation? Any bettering worsening factors? Any sensations? other associated symptoms?

maheeru last decade
She is travelling. When she come back I will ask her.

Thanks!

abcjoana last decade
ok.

maheeru last decade
It's cause for repetitive strain injury. Her medical exames say it is tendinopathy of the extensor and flexor.I guess it's lesion of the structures, right?
She says it only hurts during specific movements. Like chopping vegetables, but it doesnt hurt when she play like practicing box exercise. Now that she got a week of rest,it's not hurting.

Thank you so much for your precious help!

abcjoana last decade
Let her take rhus tox in 200c 4 to 6 doses.(one pill or a drop)

Make a feedback after those doses.

maheeru last decade
Do you remember she has glaucoma, right? Is that ok to take rhus tox 200c even though she has glaucoma?
