Diabetic pregnancy

Dr. Sameer & Dr. Murty
I am 38 yr old and have been diabetic for 9 years and hypothyroid for the past 7 years. I am now in my early pregnancy 3-4 weeks and my sugar was not well controlled, rather was very high at aprox. 180 fasting and HbA1C of around 9. However, I am working with my insulin dose for the past week to 10 days and checking daily. Much improvement, with fasting around 115 and post prandial around 120. I am very concerned about developmental problems for the baby and request your help with any remedies to reduce risk to baby. Once this is thro' smoothly, I would also like to take advise for my health problems. My husband is also hypothyroid for the past 2 years now. I am very sensitive to criticism, a little lazy. Am very honest and easy going person. Very emotional and tend to look for affection from loved ones (too much). Am overweight (78kg - 159cm), though not very flabby. Have a family history of diabetes on both sides of the family (grandparents, aunts and uncles). My mother is also diabetic (though after 55) and has high BP. My father expired at 49 due to heart attack. I had two children and was diagnosed as diabetic in the 2nd month of my first pregnancy. I am type 2 and am on insulin as my 2nd son was nursing till a few months ago. Though I know it will not help, I am very anxious about this pregnancy especially at this age. Your help needed.

Can you please talk about your temperament a bit more ?

Are you mild/yielding in your temperament ?

Do you like consolation ?

During my childhood was very pleasant and easygoing. Laid back rather. After my dad's death, bottled up feelings of insecurity and fear of future etc. Hide any fear and project a bold front. I suppose I overcome my shortcomings. Yes, I am yielding. Try to avoid confrontations. Need and expect consoldation, but cannot actively seek it if not received. After marriage I flare up and tend to cry a lot for sometimes really stupid things (where expectations not met). Outbursts of pent-up anger and feelings really.

Physically I have always been plump and overweight, from childhood. Had some liver problem in childhood and later on in my 20's severe anaemia. Though Anaemia has not recurred after marriage.

Any perfectionist traits ?

Do you find it ok to cry in front of others ?

I would not say that I am a perfectionist. I do try to do as best as possible. Find it hard to say no to anyone. As far as crying is concerned, not so much comfortable but sometimes cannot stop myself.

Please take 3 doses of Pulsatilla 30c for one day only spaced by 2 hours. i.e. 3 doses for one day and from next day no more doses, just wait and watch.

Report in 10 days after the 3 doses.

Is Pulstilla OK in early pregnancy? Also I have Pulstilla 30 but am not sure about c or x. I also do not have access to homeo medicines. Can I take the available one.

Take the Pulsatilla 30 you have at home.
