Green stools in baby

My baby is 5 1/2 months old and exclusivly breastfeed. Last week on friday he did a green stool, completely green and a bit watery and with mucus (all his stools are normally mustard color and more on the creamy side)
the night before I had eaten some meringues with a lot of food color and I tought it could be a reaction to the food color. On saturday the stool was still a bit green but started to go back to normal. On wednesday night I eat a couple of M&Ms (didn't think! it was literally a couple)and yesterday again his stool was green, and today is still green. His anus also looks a tinny bit irritated. The frequency on the stools has increased a bit, but not much. It is around one per day.
He also has a bit of a rash bellow his nose (red dry skin) we tought it was just due to all the drooling he does. He has had this rash for more or less two weeks. So we dont know if its related to the green stools or not.

I am not sure at all if it is a reaction to the food color or not, it had not happened before. Or maybe something else I am eating, but can not think of what? I havent changed anythin in my diet. Some times I notice that if I eat a lot of diary he pucks, so I am trying not to have much dairy this days.

Apart from the strange stools he seems ok, his usual.

Thanks in advance

Hey,
Seeing your post, your baby seems perfectly alright, the baby can have occational green stools but should not be for long, if it changes within a day or to back to normalcy then it is fine.
Most of the reactions the baby shows are directly related to your eating pattern, so try to avoid over eating or ready foods, try eating healthy with more vegetables, fruits and protein rich foods atleast till you breastfeed the baby.
Lets wait for another day or two to see if the stool changes to the normal colour, if not then let us know we will prescribe a medicine, till then it is worth waiting.

About the rash you have mentioned can you qualify the rash a bit more, like if it is spreading, are the edges defined etc. more over if the baby is happly playing around and if it is not crying often otherwise for food then it is doing great you don have to worry.

Hope i have answered your questions. do not hesitate to contact for any further detials. Thanks

Thank you very much for your reply.
I will keep an eye on his nappies and let you know how it progresses.

About the rash. It looks like whe one has a cold and after days of blowing your nose it looks dry and irritated underneath. It looks a bit red, dry and tiny bit scaly. Not defined.

Thanks again
