repeating calcarea carb

dear friends,
my wife is slightly hypothyroidic and she is two months pregnant now. twenty one days back, soon after i understood that she was pregnant, i tested her TSH level and found that she was at 6.1 level. [normal range is 0.3 to 5.5]. on fourth july, i gave her one dose of Calcarea Carb 200. after one week i once again tested her TSH level and found that it had come down from 6.1 to 1.5. on 23 july i again tested her TSH and found to be 1.5 again.
should i give her any more dose or need i not give her any more dose? should i increase potency next time if i need to give her one or more doses?
i have read in allen's materia medica that in aged people calcarea should not be repeated especially if the first dose benefited. if we do so, it will usually do harm, he continues. but in another book i read that calcarea should be repeated in intervals.can't we equate the physical health of a pregnant woman with that of a an elderly person?
please advise me on this.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

No. An old person is approaching his death while a pregnanat woman experiences consciousness, the very life.

Ideally you should move to the higher potency only when good health is giving way to old symptoms and they appear to come back.

But as you said a large number of homeopaths having 'clinical practice' do repeat the same potency and they move to the next potency only after receiving full 'value' from the potency.

i congratulate you to for having done the diagnostic tests. People like you enhance the reputation of Homeopathy.

Wishing you all the very best.

dear kadwa,in your opinion should i repeat calcarea 200? if the disappeared symptoms come back, can i repeat the 200 potency once again? say, for example, if her TSH level goes up slightly but below her earlier 6.1 level, should i give her a higher potency? as i have mentioned my wife is two months pregnant now. she has miscarrying tendency. she did have two miscarriages earlier. i have read in a book that if calcarea carb is the constitutional remedy, that alone is enough to prevent the tendency to miscarry. is that true? she in the past miscarried at the third month. should i give her sabina? if calcarea is her constitutional remedy, will giving her sabina do harm? when i gave her calcarea 200 not only did her TSH level come down but her sciatica pain also disappeared. from this, can we assume that calcarea is her constitutional remedy? is 1.5 TSH okay during pregnancy? has it to be further reduced to lower level?

Yes.

Yes. It is true.

She in the past miscarried at the third month. should i give her sabina? if calcarea is her constitutional remedy, will giving her sabina do harm?
Sabina neither antidotes calc-c nor is it inimical to calc-c. Therefore even if calcarea is her constitutional remedy, giving sabina should not do any harm. But it is advisable to keep a gap of 7-10 days between these two remedies.

Is 1.5 TSH okay during pregnancy? has it to be further reduced to lower level?
It is better to take opinion of a gynaecologist on this issue.

i would like to suggest a breathing technique, pratice of which is highly beneficial during pregnancy. Please read my posts on the breathing exercise called as Anulom Vilom Pranayam by following the link given below. The patient should practise this pranayam regularly for half an hour early in the morning and evening (on empty stomach / 5 hours after lunch). It is better to avoid other breathing exercises during pregnanacy as they involve giving jerks to body. So a starter may mess it. But this one is very safe. It should be done very gently.

Dear pcthahir
i have read your post on another thread about the vaginal bleeding.
Swami Ramdev advises lauki (bottle gourd) juice and juice of sheesham (a tree abundantly found in North India) for stopping such vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. It is rather effective in arresting all kinds of menstrual bleeding. It has already worked at abc forum on the following thread.
