Chicory and Homeopathy

I read somewhere that Chicory is a very beneficial herb. But, I've also heard some homeopaths ask to keep away from Chicory.

How does Chicory relate to Homeopathy? Does it interfere with homeopathy?

Thank you,

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Chicory is a stimulant, often used in coffee. Coffee is often suggested not to use around homeopathy.

If you think a herb is beneficial, find out in what way, and why you want to take it and what you expect it to do. No one reacts the same with herbs. I suggest only a bit to try if you must, to see for yourself.

It "may" antidote a homeopathic remedy.

The reason I asked is because, my family has coffee with chicory in it. And recently, someone said it is worse than taking pure coffee itself. So, I read up on it.

And, from what I read, I understood that, it actually has no caffeine in it, and works well on the immune system etc.

But, when I searched, I did not find any article on how it antidotes homeopathy.

Hence the question.

Thank you

Every person is different. Many beliefs are different. There are many don'ts in homeopathy.

There is a very large list of don'ts in homeopathy. Over the years I have found the main don't is camphor and pepermint toothpaste. Coffee is on the list. Smoking. I read in one book that the h. dr said not to use electric blankets!! After awhile it gets a little silly. Some say h. cannot be taken with allopathic meds.

Over the years some have put the remedy in coffee of a stubborn person. I have never found smoking interfered. I have given h. at the same with antibiotics.

It comes down to knowing yourself and watching the activity. Being able to decern if something has stopped the action of h.

No one has pat answers to each thing. It is all a general idea of avoiding certain things, but the main ones is camphor and things like toothpaste, menthol, heavy perfumes, some say garlic. You see the trend? Things that are high in vibratory Smells and strength.

Generally these are believed to interfere with the homeopathy and possibly stop the workings.

Indian coffees are generally a combination of roasted coffee seeds and chicory.

If you don't get a headache etc, if you miss your coffee, don't bother about it.

If coffee is acting as a stimulant on your body, then, you better stop it, while taking homeo medicines. If not, your coffee won't antidote the medicine.

But, anything in excess is to be avoided.Restrict the coffee to 2 to 3 cups a day.

Thanks Sabra and Murthy.

My family was told to use "pure coffee" as opposed to "coffee with chicory".

And, I wondered, why chicory was considered worse than coffee itself, and instead read mostly positive reviews on chicory.
