CODEX ban on vitamins, mineral, supplements, herbs, etc.
Recently, I have become aware of some information regarding the possible restriction of supplements, vitamins, and medicinal herbs in Canada. It is very important to me that other people are made aware of the possible implications of the new Codex code, not only in Canada, but internationally. I ask that you please review the following information, and if appropriate, to please consider making it available to the public in any form possible._____
The use of Alternative medicine, which includes vitamins, minerals, herbs and other food supplements is of great interest to many individuals. Upon becoming aware of the possible international implementation of CODEX policy in the near future, I felt the need to pass this information on to as many people as possible.
CODEX is a sub-committee of the United Nations mandated to establish guidelines on food trade issues. The Codex Commission met last fall to ratify Step 8, entitled the "Proposed Draft Guideline for Dietary Supplements."
The CODEX policy calls for the following:
" 1) No dietary supplement can be sold for prophylactic (preventive) use or
therapeutic use;
2) No dietary supplement sold as a food can exceed potency (dosage) levels set by the commission;
3) Codex regulations for dietary supplements would be binding, (which means that the escape clause within GATT that allows a nation to set its own standards would be eliminated);
4) All new dietary supplements would automatically be banned unless they go through the Codex approval process."
CODEX now applies to Norway and Germany, among others, where zinc tablets rose from $4 per bottle to $52. Echinacea rose from $14 to $153 (both examples are now allowed by prescription only). They are now "drugs". Vitamin C above 200 mg, niacin above 32 mg, vitamin B6 above 4 mg; all are banned over-the-counter and are classified as drugs. No amino acids, essential fatty acids (omegas 3, 6, 9, etc.), or other essential supplements such as DMEA, DHEA, CoQ10, MSM, beta-carotene, etc. are allowed.
The question is who is driving this? The Big Pharma corporations and their revenues of trillions of dollars have a great influence on the United States and other member nations of the U.N.; since illness and chronic disease is the source of Big Pharma's revenue. Through Codex, the pharmaceutical industry has been preparing to secure the market and defeat any competition and opposition, and strip humans of their dignity and choice in practising good health and well-being.

You are absolutly right and it is supposed to happen this year.
The reason we no longer have control of our lives began after the civil war.
We used to be able, as americans, to go to need to know books and sites, to find out anything we wished to know about AMA and so on. The constitutions first amendment insured freedom of speech through which our right to know has in the past been upheld. We cannot do this now.
The doors have been closed to us by corporations, because of proprietary patent information. This means they do not have to tell us anything. This began after the civil war when a clerk made an idle footnote on a supreme court ruling, and that footnote, set a precedent from that time that all corporations were natural persons with equal protection rights under the law.
We are at the mercy of our government, the AMA and the pharmaceutical companies (all corporations) to bring us completely under their control. It is all about money and power. THEY DO NOT CARE if their products kill or disable, they just want the money.
There is lots more than this to make the neck hairs stand up in astonishment.
Recently in NM, a lot of young people under 30 were asked what they thought about the first amendment. Most said they didn't think it important any more.
Does NO ONE have any vision of the future when we lose civil rights and we have to identify ourselves with "papers" so we are not arrested and "put away?"
