Schizophrenia - I need help of dr. rishimba,dr. smeear, murthy,kadwa, dr.Pankaj and other senior collegeues
Dear colleagues;Following is the case of my close relative. I need your help and guidance in this regard.
Patient Irshad ID: Sex: Female
Age: 60 years Nature of work: House wife
Describe your main suffering and from how long?
Suffering from Schizophrenia since 4 years
Any cause which you feel for this ailment?
Apparently no cause reported however she remained bachelor till date
What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Non
What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
She desires to commit suicide in River strongly. She explain some problems of gas and emptiness of stomach and intestine inspite of taking meal. She do not take any interest in family affairs she always thinks about his disease.
When did it all start?
4 years back
What are the things which aggravate or ameliorate your suffering?
Discussion about his ailment aggravates her
When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Cold weather
What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions? No choice
How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Less
How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal
How is your bowel movement and stool type (Constipation etc.)?
Conspitation
How sleep, how are your dreams?
Claims that she is not sleeping but she sleeps 4/6 hours in normal routine at night. However she take more sleep with tranqulizer.
Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings?
Desire to commit suicide in Water. She repeat this more and often.
What medicines have been taken earlier?
Allopath give her some medicine of schizophrenia but but these are not fruit full
How do you look like (Appearance (fat, thin, smart, tall, lean etc)?
Slim, tall
If your are female how is your menstrual cycles and from how long (normal, irregular, painful, clotted, colour etc.)
Irregular suppose to be menopause era
Family history - What major diseases are running in your family?
No such disease except Hypertension

MIND - THINKING - complaints - agg.; thinking of his complaints
The only medicine that covers all the symptoms is AUR MET.

Thank you very much for sending valued assessment on the matter. I may submitt that I have given this remedy to the patient earlier in IM potency but there was no change in her behaviour and thinking.
She stick at point that there is no other solution/treatment of her disease but to she had to dye in River Ravi.
Again bundle of thanks but I expect more your valued opinion on this case. Now I also want to confirm you in which potency Aur.Met would be suitable to her and for how long.

problem accour last one and half year sexual desire normal
but some time excessive but timing not satisfactory not time enough wife also not satisfy before discharge.when she feel horny.
no family disease figure tall 6'-2' slim weight 65kg
panis not tight at time of sex
it soft too much inset in vagina with hand and than discharge with in two three stroks.

In my repertorisation, Lachesis and Pulsatilla compete for this case at the top. I'd suggest you to look up these remedies in exhaustive Materia medicas.

thanks you very much I have also tried Arsen. Alb. in 1m potency but its response was not upto the mark on some times it give some relief I am still trying it occassionally. However, I have seen any resemblance of Kali Carb.
I shall be grateful if you people give me your expertise further for my guidance and treatment of the patient.

Dear Mahfooz probably you wanted to say, Lach. 1M didn't have any response in the patient?
FYI, pulsatilla covers the symptoms as given above including the rubric 'Mind, suicidal disposition, drowning by'. In my repertorisation of the whole symptom set given as above, Lachesis and pulsatilla were the top remedies. If lachesis has been tried, pulsatilla can be tried, since this case involves strong mental notes, one could start with 200c and may go up to 10M or 50M depending upon the response.
'Mind, suicidal disposition, drowning by' has following remedies with more weightage.
Bell., Dros., Hell., Hyos., Lach., Puls., Rhust., Sil.
and following in less weightage:
Ant. c, Arg.n, Aur, Ign. Sec.
As somebody raised the point, its worthwhile to check why this patient has chosen to remain spinster. And if anything happened specifically 4 years back when all this started? Besides in case taking some other peculiar, rare symptoms may have been missed too.

thanks again for detailed analysis. I shall difinitly try Puls. The patient is spinster since long without any cogent reason, perhaps she has been ignor by his family members. Ther is no important matter occur which turn her in this condition. She is otherwise free from all ailment and has strong immunity system.She always thinks and speaks at her disease and nothing else.

i am sorry to be a bit late to read this thread of yours.
in my opinion, the only remedy which is coming up as a similimmum is lachesis.
you can give her one dose of LACHESIS 1M initially and watch her closely for the next 10 days.
i feel, there would be a change and later you can follow it up with 10M.

thanks very much for your input. I have already tried this remedy in 1M potency but found no encouraging results. However, I shall again try this remedy after taking Aurm Met.10m as advised by dr. sajjad Akram.

2. What are her mental symptoms other than thinking about suicide?
3. Does she like being consoled?
4. Is she aesthetic?
5. What did she do in life?
6. Does she weep easily?
Meanwhile get her started on KP 6x daily doses.
