Reflux several hours after eating - no vomit

Hello, I have non-identical twin boys of 20 months with reflux. They are both on medication ( Gaviscon - anti acid drug ). One is still having very bad periods every few weeks. He had been having ear infections because of the reflux last fall. We have him sleep on an incline at night, feed him a min. of 1 hr before going to bed, but sometimes he wakes up druing night or nap crying and screaming 1.5-4 hours later, I give him Gaviscon as the Dr. recommended, I hold him up sitting on my lap and can feel his belly convulsing while he screams and kicks so I can barely hold onto him. He has been tested for milk allergy - negative. He was at 95% weight and height between 1-8 months and then dropped consistently to below 25%. He is usually very happy but during these days or weeks he is very clingy and whines constantly and barely eats anything. I can't seem to correlate with food allergy and I only feed him home cooked, steamed or oil fried food, no salt or high end prepared baby food ( which he usually doesn't eat ). He tends to want to gorge himself on protein food and fruits. During periods of intense reflux he barely gets 1/3 of calcium intake.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
you can give your son CHAMOMILLA 30C just before he goes to sleep at night. continue this for some 3 nights and then wait to see the changes for the next few days.

for reflux, you can try CALC PHOS 30C one dose in the morning for some 3 days again.

if these remedies work, you can give them a dose of 30C infrequently whenever the symptoms seem to recur.

Please give him one dose (about 6 to 8 pills) of Pulsatilla 200c and post feedback.

Our posts crossed Rishi.

Clingy - whining - ear infections - allopathic medicines. These pointed me to Puls.

If the behaviour is pitiful, it is defintely Puls. If the behaviour is cross and irritating, Cham.

If the child likes open air, worse in warm room and is hotty (likes cold, kicks of sheets, etc.), seals the case for Puls.

srisri is right.

i suggested cham just on the description of the child by you. you said, the child 'screams' ...in my experience, chamomilla is good if the child screams and pulsatilla is good when he weeps or cries..

my boy complains about being too warm a little quicker than his brother, even though he has less body fat but I cannot say there is a true pattern since it may be because he is more erratic in his movements and more willful/ particular about what he wants.

He has always been more of a screamer ( his cries/whining in any circumstance even as a baby seemed more angry/cross than desperate/weepy ).

So does that point to Cam and Calc Phos at the same time?

this points to chamomilla.

whenever he has reflux after taking milk, calc phos may be tried but not at the same time as cham.

cham to be given at night before sleeping and calc in the morning empty stomach.

the remedies do not interact negetively and thus low potencies can be given at intervals of 12 hours.

I have been giving Cham at night before sleeping for 3 days - last night he again had reflux and got really upset screamed and kicked. He has had no appetite for the past week, only eating about 1/4 recommended food intake. he usually does that during periods of reflux - at birth he refused to feed himself for 2 weeks until he was put on medication. Dr.s usually just increase the medication dosage but that never seems to work either. I cut out all supposedly reflux aggravating foods like tomato and orange juice. Any recommendations?
