Rota Virus Infection

Symptoms often start with vomiting followed by four to eight days of profuse diarrhoea.

Dehydration is most common cause of death related to rotavirus infection.

So if your child gets a flurry of Vomitings and severe watery diarrhoea, it is most probably Rota Virus infection

The first medicine to consider is arsenic alb 6C. Consider Veratrum Album only if your child's symptoms agree with Veratrum album picture of a 'collapsed state'.

Dissolve 2 drops or 4 pellets of 6C in 120 ml water. Take one spoon every 3 to 4 hours and give to your child.

6C should be good enough to control infection for 1 or 2 days. Now bring 30C into the picture.

Dissolve 2 drops or 4 pellets of 6C in minter water bottle with 120ml water in it. Give one cap to your child.

From 4th or 5th dose, your child may stop responding to the remedy, so now you have to give 3 hard hits to the bottle from the bottom and give a cap to you child. The dose should not exceed 4 times in a day. This way your remedy bottle would last 4-5 days, and flush out Rota Virus infection from the child's system completely.

If your child gets one or two loose stools even when the doses are going on, it can be a sign of medicine flushing out rubbish from the system.

After taking the medicine if your child feels happy & more energetic, then the medicine selection is correct. Proceed with it

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Make sure you are feeding your child with lots of ORS/Electrolytes etc. The dehydration is a real cause for worry. Prevent it at any cost.

Nearly every child will get rotavirus infection before the age of 5.

Each year more than 500,000 children die from diarrheal disease caused by rotavirus, and another two million are hospitalized

A correction in the main post:

Medicines to consider in order of preference:
(1) arsenic alb 6C and then 30C
OR
(2) Veratrum Album 6C and then 30C
(3) Podophyllum 6C and then 30C

NEVER GIVE ANY TWO MEDICINES TOGETHER.

You may try out Arsenic Alb. Most probably it will work or if the symptom picture of your child agrees with Veratrum Album's 'Collapsed state', then give Veratrum Album.

Start with 6C. Repeat 4 to 6 times in a day on the basis of need. When the infection is controlled, reduce dosage to 3 times in a day.

You may need 30C from 2nd or 3rd day. Give 30C three times in a day for no more than 4 days. By then Rota virus infection would have receeded as it doesn't last for more than 5-6 days.

And please do not heed the calls of English medicine (allopathic) doctors who refuse to give any medicine for profuse diarrhoea because, according to them, the diarrhoea is bringing infection out. Bullsh*t! Homeopathy takes care of that.
