Hi
I might be able to help. First of all, please discontinue any cosmetic product that you use which contain Lavender oil or tea tree oil.

Next, I need to know more about this problem. Please answer these questions detailed.

1) At what age did this problem initially start? Please describe what was going on in your life during that time. Your life habits, exposure to things.

2) How many years have you had this problem?

3) Did you take any medications in the past?

4) How are your blood reports especially your hormone levels?

Let me know this info

Greetings Dr. Anderson. Many thanks for the reply.
1) As a child I was quite fit with a lean physique and big frame. This problem started when i was in my teens around 13 yrs or so. i have always been quite active but i tend to eat a lot. in teens also i used to eat a lot.
2)This problem started in teens. At first I had a lot of mental stamina and tried different ways to tackle this problem e.g wearing layers of clothes, excercising more, working out but it was never cured wholly. Now I don't have this stamina and zeal and hope and pray for a solution. i am simply tired of the looks and comments of people when i still try to wear a shirt and excercise. It seems as if i am cornered from all places. I do agree with the doctor that there are severe cases and I thank Allah i am much much better than them.
3)I have taken no medications for this problem
4)Blood reports show normal cholestrol levels although i remember at one time i had unusually high catecholamines. doctors had me do a liver ultrasound for some growth and a CAT Scan also for some growth that might be triggering these but found none. i also had VMA tests done twice but they were not as high as the catecholamines reading.

Ok. I have a few more questions for you.

How old are you right now?

Are you on any other medications in general?

Do you notice any sensitivity to your chest when they are exposed to extreme cold or extreme heat?

When you apply certain soap, shampoo, or other cosmetics, do you see a difference in the nipples?

Is there anything that makes it worse?

Do you smoke/drink alcohol?

Please let me know about these

Hello again Doc. Thanks for the prompt responses.

1) i am 34 years old now
2) no, i don't take any medications for this problem or for any another. Halellujah!
3) I have noticed that in cold weather they tend to contract and it takes the shape of a male chest. its only when i see the underside of my chest (the shade bcuz of the fat)that i am reminded of this problem that i have.
4) no i have never seen a diff when i apply any sort of cosmetics. but i have noticed (prob its my imagination) that in hot humid weather they become more prominent (sort of lumpy soft) and thats what i hate most. also when i am angry, unhappy with life or under a lot of stress (the sort of stress that makes one lose hope) i think this problem increases. one more thing, my entire upper torso i.e uptil the trunk is soft and palpy (my doctor used the word baby fat and told me to excercise this area to get rid of this fat and do bench presses in a gym. but i have worked out a lot in my late teens and also swum a lot. never cured. but i confess i ate a lot like burgers and icecream (not an eating binge but still more than my recommended calorie intake)
5) thankfully i dont smoke or drink. never touched this stuff in my life. Alhamdulillah!
i have a Q for you. do testosterone levels have anything to do with this problem, high or low which causes it?
Thanks

Hi

To answer your question about testerone levels, let me explain a bit about the problem that you have. In teenage years, male hormones get unbalanced as you develop. This leads to an increase in aromatase, an enzyme that converts androgens to estrogens. This creates glandular tissue. The common belief is that near the end of puberty, the body will try to attain homeostasis by balancing the hormones, which results in a complete dissapearance of the glandular tissue. in some people, these doesnt occur and they are left with glandular tissue. For 18-20 year old with this problem, I have seen that they might have still resolve as puberty ends at 21 in male.
My only concern with your problem is that you are 34 years old right now and the glandular tissue is now probably part of your body.

So, I dont know if I will be able to help. But, there is some hope: On this forum another patient enquired about this disorder, and another doctor prescribed him some homeopathic medication.

I will give you the link

Mallik,

Stop using cosmetic products with lavender, tea tree oil, hops as these contribute to estrogen dominance and glandular tissue growth and sustenance.

All the directions are listed by that physician
