Kidney StonesI'm a 32 year old male and I've been suffering with Kidney Stones since I was 20 years old. About every 3 years, I start to pass them and eventually one will get stuck and the doctors will have to surgically remove it. I have had Ureteroscopy surgery 3 times and Litotripsy done 2 times. These procedures aren't very pleasant and I don't like being on pain medication or given anesthesia.
The last time I had surgey was in 1999. Since then, I have had around 5 painful epiodes of passing stones. I just live with the pain and drink lots of water in order to pass the stones. I place hot compresses on the areas the pain occurs. This helps to numb the pain.
As of December, I have been exercising on a regular basis and I have been drinking lots of water(about 3 quarts a day). With this increase in exercise and drinking more water. I have been passing alot of stones. I passed a stone around christmas......another stone on February 5th and I passed a stone on February 11th. I am currently passing another stone.
The Stones have all come from the right kidney. The pain starts on my right kidney and continues down to my right hip and continues down to my bladder and then to my groin and ends in my right testicle. It is a sharp, jaggy, pain that radiates or pulsates from the kidney to the hip, to the bladder and then to the testicle. Currently, the pain is mainly in my right hip, bladder, and especially in my right testicle. The pain causes my right tesicle to draw tight and throb with pain. The pain intensifies as my bladder gets fuller and I have to urinate. The pain alleviates when I urinate or if I am sitting or laying down. The pain gets worse when I am standing for long period of time.
I am sick of living with pain and I have been researching alternative medicine for the past two days and read about Homeopathic and Herbal Medicine. For my systems, I have read that Berberis Vulgaris might be one remedy for my type of pain for my stones. I read that dosage for acute symptoms like mine is 3 pellets of 30c every 4 hours until symptoms resolve. I read that symptoms should improve after the 2nd dose and if there is no improvement after 3 doses, a different remedy should be used.
I also have burning at the top of my penis(glands) when I urinate. I have had this for the past 6 years. I have been told by doctors that it is from scar tissue caused by the Ureteroscopy surgeries I had in the past. I read that Cantharis might be a remedy for this. I know that I should only use one remedy at a time for each ailment. I am currently concerned with the kidney stone pain and will pursue the burning after I resolve the kidney stone.
I've searched for a Homeopath were I live, but I haven't been able to find any. I live in Harrisburg, PA. The closet that I have found to me are in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. So, I search the internet and found the ABC site along with others and did my own research and now I am hoping that you can help me or point me in the right direction.

You may also want to try tackling all your symptoms in one go. This is what is meant when people say homeopathy is a holistic medicine.
Try typing something like this into the online remedy finder on this site:
kidney right pain + kidney stones + urethra burning urination
You will then be faced with a lot of tickboxes, which will pin down the specifics of your case. And eventually a remedy will be suggested to you.

Berberis Vul. is the right medicine for bladder and kidney stones. So go ahead and take it.
If you have liver complications with kidney/bladder stones then you may need Chelidonium too.
But first take Berberis Vul.
...that itself will cure you in all likelihood.
