potency of nux
friends, pls clear a doubt of mine. if nux is indicated for constipation, is it necessary that it should be given in potencies 200 and above only? will nux 30 intensify constipation rather than relieve it?pcthahir on 2010-03-25

It is not so. If nux is well indicated it should also work in 30c potency and it is not true that it will intensify constipation. But there is nothing wrong in giving it in 200c potency instead of 30c.

Nux is not a particular medicine for constipation it depends upon totality of symptoms or majority of symptoms. However, Alumina, N. Mur, Bry and some other medicines . Nux works in all the potencies when it is well selected.

The concept of disease in homeopathy is that disease is a total affection of mind and body, the disturbance of the whole organism.
