What is Euphorbia, What is Euphorbium? Euphorbium for Asthma. Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Sir Dr. Kuldeep

Yesterday my father used same Euphorbia what we have at our home (it has 6 corners). Usually he takes his inhaler early in the morning (as he gets up and starts coughting). Like you said, one drop of its juice in a cup of warm water.

Today morning miraculously he had very little cought. Phelgum from his chest is kind of dried up. How many doses he should take.

I used the resin of all Euphorbia I came across.

My method was:

Any time I saw Euphorbia I punctured the plant touched my finger and licked a small amount of resin. Most of the plants have almost same effect but severity was slightly different in each case.

Even I used Euphorbia Resinifera from different places and intensity of action was different but effect was more or less same.

Last year in Jaipur I saw a strange looking Euphorbia in my hotel, and it was the ugliest thorny rod I ever saw. It was just flat. I took a drop of juice on my tongue and it was the strongest euphorbia I ever saw. My throat was chocked for 6 hours. I was full of mucus and had to drink hot tea to keep my throat moist and warm. Unfortunately I don’t’ know the name of the variety and I didn’t collect any juice from the plant because it is never soluble.

I don’t advise people to experiment with all kind of Euphorbia. I just told you these things to share my witnessed facts.

I suggest you to buy Euphorbia with 4 corners that are called Euphorbia Resinifera. Do not use more then one drop in a warm cup of water.

I certainly feel Euphorbium is working on me. I had the same feeling as reported by Harsh about his father. Just took one dose and waiting for its effect to wind down. I have also ordered Euphorbium 6X. Let's see how it works.

jeniffer last decade
Jeniffer, as you try Euphorbium 6X, let me know its effect because so far I never tried Euphorbium in higher potencies.

Dear Dr.
I bought Euphorbia with 4 corners, it is a little thorny rod with few leaves and a flower on the top. I gave a drop of its white liquid in warm water cup to my son. Today his cheeks are hot red. His asthma is very mild in this season so we can't observe the effect of Euphorbium on him. Only time will tell. Silverman.

This clearly means that Euphorbium is working on him but dose is too stron on him. For his next dose just give him a spoon ful from same cup, if still you see symptoms aggravate, give him even smaller quantity.

Dear Sir Dr. Kuldeep

I found Euphorbia with 4 corners and bought it. My father took another dose and doing fine, he said he feels half better. How long should he take it.

Regards, Harsh

Good job. Since your father is taking Euphorbium and feels it is good for him so either you stop taking and see how long is the effect stays or next time take just a spoon from that cup or further dilute it to raise the potency.

All low potency medicines are habit forming and body needs even lower potency or more quantity of medicine after some time. So either put a break or keep diluting it over the time.

I gave Euphorbium 3X to two asthma patients and they are certainly feeling better. Thanks.

It is good to know that potentized Euphorbium is working on your patients.

Hello Kuldeep:
On 3-17 you wrote: Euphorbia Prostrata is not thorney. By the way Euphorbia Prostrata can save the life of a person with deadly snake bite.I witnessed it myself.>

What kind of snake? I live in North Central Texas. There are many Copperheads, a few Water Moccosins, Cotton Mouths and occasionally a Rattlesnake. I want to keep a remedy on hand for any emergency.

Also a friend 50 miles away makes a tea of a small plant with milk called Euphorbia Maculata or Golondrina which grows around here, (she isn't certain she has the name correct?) to cure brown recluse spider bites abundant here too. Maybe you can confirm the name. Blessings.

Bima

First thing, Euphorbia Maculata is very close relative of Euphorbia Prostrata and it should work in snakebites. (I am no botanist but took some time to look into it). By the way Euphorbia Prostrata is a plant, which spreads like a grass and is a weed everywhere. If you break a leaf it emits a milky sticky resin.

So many people asked me the same question but on the emails so I will rather reply here on this forum. I have seen a little variation of Euphorbia Prostrate in New Jersey and Virginia area and I believe if you go south it must be common. Of course Euphorbia prostrata can save life. Almost all snake poisons are similar in action; they have cyanides of soda in it. I witnessed three cases and I myself administered Euphorbia Prostrata to a Cobra victim. It took three hours to get the patient to hospital and meanwhile we gave him juice of it at the interval of 15 minutes, also we rubbed the juice on the bite mark.

Euphorbia Prostrate mother tincture or juice must be given to patient at the interval of 15 minutes. In most of cases victim may be able to swallow it in the beginning of snakebite and if he is able to swallow in the beginning he will be able to swallow it for hours till he is stable. Otherwise make every effort to pump the juice or tincture in his system. Fresh juice is sparsely soluble so it should be diluted somewhat.

It is interesting to know about the use of Euphorbia for Dropsy. Thanks for bringing this information. Please give us more details about those perticular dropsy symptoms where euphorbium is being used.

Hello Lu

Euphorbia Resinifera is almost everywhere in India and so does in Pakistan. If you are unable to find exact specie you can try other euphorbia. In local languages we all it "Danda Thore".

The following passage occurs only in First edition of organon of medicine by Dr. Hahnemann.

" Because the mere application of euphorbia juice to the abdomen caused oedematous swelling of whole body,as scopoli observed, a great number of physicians and common people were able to cure dropsy with euphorbia,as Hermann and Boecler assert."

I could find this much only.
May I know, from where did u learn abt the curative powers of Euphorbia.
other than Boericke and Kent... any other book.

I think all material medicas discuss the action of Euphorbium on Skin and Respiratory systems. There is some more in Murphy's book.

Today I made an effort to reply many emails. There were about 50 emails regarding Euphorbium. Most of them explained, how it benefited them.

I wish if those people can come to this post or to this website so other people can also know and educate themselves.

Kuldeep,

I'm new to Homeopathy...bare with me. I have questions.

I see how this relates to asthma but how does this work for postnasal drip?

When I purchase this online is it called just "Euphorbia with 4 corners" or should I look for "Euphorbia Resinifera"?

What is the exact potency I need since this my first time?

Recently I have experimented with many Euphorbia plants including Poinsettia; I will rather say milk of all Euphorbia is called Euphorbium. Actually milk has little bit variation of character even if it comes from a same plant but different location.

A variety of Euphorbia is all around Bangalore as well whole South India, it is like a small tree and used as a bordering or fencing plant. I am unable to know its botanical name but it is the strongest I ever found, but anytime I try to harvest its milky juice, it is just stubbornly insoluble even in Alcohol, I haven’t tried chloroform that’s why I recommend people to use just any Euphorbia plant and use its juice but in very dilute form. (This is true about all Euphorbia plants, that milk is insoluble)

It takes lots of pain away from asthma patients because it dries up mucus. It even dries up post nasal mucus. Initially I though it is temporary but effect lasts for some weeks. I have tried it in all cases where Kali Bichromate was desired and Euphorbium worked even better.

So you can purchase just any euphorbia, some has lots of milk and some has little.

Kuldeep,

I've been using Corallium Rub and Natrum Carb at at low dose and it didn't work for my Post-Nasal Drip. When I purchase Euphorbium and kali bichromate-30. Should I purchase a higher dose instead of the lower dose?
