Excema in children

Hi,

My daughter is 21 months old and has had dry skin patches on her legs since she was 6 months old but it went away with extensive moisturising. About 2 months back she started having really severe dry itchy patches all over her body except her face. Nothing helps. It subsided a bit after about a month and has started coming back. GP prescribed steroid based cream which I did not want to use on a baby. The aqueous cream for bathing and moisturising does not help much.
She is a very active and social child.
It is cold here, so it could be the heating in the house which we try to minimise.
Any homeopathic remedies that might help?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I discovered some years ago that Arnica 6c in the Wet dose can treat Eczema very successfully. This remedy is not listed in the classical text books and my therapy therefore qualifies for the classification under 'Joepathy'

I have helped many patients who presented Eczema with Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The remedy water in the bottle should also be applied directly on the skin as often as possible as this hastens the cure which usually is within a few days when some improvement should be visible.

It is understood that all other drugs and lotions that are being used today will be discontinued if my therapy is used.

Please report your daughter's response in a week.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you take a capfull which is the dose. Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.

Thanks a lot, Joe. I will report as soon as I get the wet Arnica 6c and start the dose.

Dear Joe,

I have been giving the dosage to my daughter for about 10 days now. It has improved slightly but not gone away completely. She has a few new tiny patches on her tummy and lower back. But I must be frank, I haven't been able to apply much of it externally as she spends most of her day at the nursery.
Should I just continue with the dosage?

Regards,
Sara

You are the best judge of whether or not Arnica 6c has helped your daughter. Patients have reported that they had noticed an improvement in 3 days while others have reported it in a week.

I note that you are not able to apply this remedy directly on her lesions and I presume that if you do so her condition will improve.

If you feel that it is doing her some good you can continue the therapy as it is far safer than the Steroidal creams she was using before which will undoubtedly have other serious side effects later on in her life.
