tardive dyskinesa/bruxism, fat & angryI was diagnosed with bipolar and OCD about 20 years ago. I take lithium, risperdal and luvox for these conditions. I have developed tardive dyskonesia in the form of constantly grinding my teeth and chewing on my tongue. ..it's driving me crazy and hurting my teeth. I am tapering off the risperdal and down to .5 mg at night. I have read that t.d. is irreversible even if you quit the medication. Is there anything that can help this problem?
Let me also add that I've gained 90 lbs. over the past 20 years...always steadily gaining. I am also very angry quite often, sometimes with fits of rage. I get lonely and jealous easily. I am unchallenged at my job. Last week I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put on Synthroid. I also have a problem with acne...whitehead's, small pimples and painful cysts in my lower jaw region.
I constanly craze something frozen to put in my mouth lile icees or popsicles. Is there anything you can recomend for the situation I am in.
