Numbness in legs and hands

Hi I am 25 year old female. I have been having suffering wih numbness in my arms and legs all my life. My finger and toes are always cold as if no circulation ever gets to them. My fingers have a slight deformity- from my knuckle to my finger tip my finger starts to twist outward. I am asking for help because I cant seem to get my hands and feet warm- and they begin to tingle and go numb very quickly. Also i cant hold something in my hand or sit on the floor for longer than a few minutes without stiffness and pain. I have tried different herbs to help this but no change occur. I dont want to take medication so I am looking to Homeopathy for help.

1. Describe your main suffering?

I get tingling numbness in legs (specifically knee and below) and in hands when a limb in bent for longer than 2 minutes- like sitting cross-legged or gripping something in my hand. It also happens in the cold, my knees swell and I can hardly bend them, and my hands become achy, stiff, and sometimes numb. One time when I was in cold weather, I could no longer bend my knees because they swollen so bad.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

My acupuncture says I have a weak pulse, I have low Red Blood Cell count, I have poor digestion, I also bruise very easily and it takes an extremely long time to heal. I have had a history of fainting and usually feel it when I get up to fast- this happens a couple of times a week.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

I feel short-tempered and aggressive- almost as if I am using my emotions to warm up my body. I can also flip and become very nervous, anxious, and emotional.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
I can’t sit on my knees without losing sensation in legs- I usually have to take several minutes to pat my legs and feet to gain sensation so that I can walk- or else my legs feel like a limp noodle. In the cold, my joints swell and I have a hard time bending them (especially in knees and hands).

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

I have had this all my life.
When I was 11 years old, a doctor said I had a form of Lupus called Reynaud’s and hinted that I could even have arthritis. But I just retested for Lupus and I did not have it. The doctor also said it did not sound like I had
Reynaud’s but did not test me for it.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

In the early morning and in the evening – mainly when the sun is not up.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

Bending limbs for a long time is bad because it seems to cut/slow circulation to my extremities (like sitting cross-legged, sitting on knees), also the cold. Warmth and excercise make it better.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

When I live in cooler places I feel this pain much more. I have always had irregular menstrual cycle- lately my period comes 2-5 (sometimes 14) later than the previous month’s menstruation. I noticed this happened when I moved to the cool damp area of San Francisco, California.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
I feel better in hot and dry weather.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
I have a fear of water, especially being in dark water because I can’t see what’s below or around me. I always have this feeling something is going to get me when I am in the water. I am afraid of falling, like an elevator falling or driving on a bridge and an earthquake occurs then the bridge breaks and my cars falls and I drown- this pops in my head every time I drive across the San Francisco Bridge.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I do not like spicy, I do like sweet but I tend to get headaches if I eat too much so I have to limit it. I don’t eat meat and dairy because my stomach does not digest it well. 19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? Yes

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all? I artistically creative, I trust my impulses, and I pick up on people’s energy very quickly.

I have taken herbs given to me by my acupuncture for 8 months – but saw no change. I have also taken ginger and turmeric – but saw no changes.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?

Thank you so much for this. I do have one question- you mentioned 2 different remedies:Phosphorus 30c & Lycopodium 30c. Do I take these at the same time, or do I take Phosphorus 30c first and if no hcange then change to Lycopodium 30c? Thank you again.

If I am only to take one remedy and move on the the next if there is no change- I feel like Lycopodium 30c might be a better fit. I was reading the decriptions of both on this website and Lycopodium matched much more of my overall health. Would this be acceptable to try Lycopodium first?

Sorry , i meant phosphorus 30c.

Please try phosphorus 30c.
