nerve/tooth trauma and dental work

I had an amalgam removed from an upper wisdom tooth that was cracked. The filling was deep and always very sensitive to cold. I have very sensitive teeth anyway. No decay in crack. As the filling was being removed a piece of the tooth broke off and the dentist put in two pins to give the new filling purchase. I am waiting for a crown. As the anesthetic worn off it felt like my roots were on fire along the top jaw and bottom jaw on the side the work had been done. The pain at first was unrelenting and made me cry. For five days I had severe intermittent pain that has been hard to localize--wisdom tooth or gum recession? Now the temporary crown is very sensitive to heat and cold, acid, too much brushing but pain has died down if Im very careful about what I eat and how I brush. Im worried about tooth trauma and trauma to the nerve that might make it start to die. Is there a remedy for tooth trauma?

Arnica is a good remedy for tooth trauma.Try it in 30c potency/3 tabs /2-3 times/5days.
