Swelling has gone down with arnica30 and staph30. pain still is bad. tried nux vomica30 and paracetamol but would appreciate confirmation. Pain throbbing worse lying down, at night, after speaking or eating. gum feels sore and raw. Feel hot, without temperature. Foul taste in mouth, feel irritated and exasperated with pain. Appetite good but thirstless. Also gargle with salt water and calendula alternatively.

I would suggest that you use Hypericum 200 in the Wet dose ASAP as this will help to deaden the pain more positively that the Staph. It can be used every 3-4 hours when its effect wanes.
I have had 2 molars extracted some months ago which I have since replaced with implants and only used Arnica 30c in the Wet dose every 2 hours immediately post surgery on day 1 and extended it to every 3 hours on day 2. I was completely without pain and was able to eat my meals without using that side which at that time did not have any teeth.
I am 82 years of age and the 2 teeth had cracked due to the unnecessarily large fillings that were used by my dentist many years ago which just fell out in about 10 years. I did not experience any pain or other discomfort when they were first filled which was done when the caries was identified during a clean up of the teeth and I was not aware of the extent of the filling which was unnecessarily large.
For the record I shall copy the protocol to make the Wet dose:
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.
